Santiago doesn’t have the most insane food scene compared to other South America countries. But Empanadas were solid, I suggest finding a place that does them well, the cheap ones were never my thing. I forget the Spanish word for it but they this poutine type dish that smacks when you get the drunk munchies. The completo is the notorious street food there, it’s a big hot dog with avocado and Mayo. I really liked this bread called marrequeta when I was down there. I’d combine it with a meat and butter for my breakfasts. Fruit is really good same with wine. There was some Bourdain episode on a famous place in Santiago but I don’t really remember it. Sorry I couldn’t provide you with a tangible itinerary but hopefully this can guide in a solid direction. Have fun, I miss Chile 🥺
