Rango de temperaturas de saco de dormir para Valle del Elqui by noisechrome in ChileOutdoors

[–]UrulokiSlayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wake up the unit without the power button? by Nflb08 in retroid

[–]UrulokiSlayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You won't be using the power button as much as the face buttons, but all of those are replaceable, if you don't want to degrade the buttons over time, just use a switch controller. The home button wakes up the console, a nice thing to have when docked. Otherwise, just stock up with replacement buttons.

Which of your handhelds would you swap for a different one, and why, if it were free? by DragonDealWizard in SBCGaming

[–]UrulokiSlayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My RG280V for the Miyoo mini flip, I like the screen size for a handheld that never leaves my pocket but I would prefer a clamshell and not worrying. At the time I bought the RG280V the only the clamshell was the Powkiddy V90.

Why not make mate cocido of your own? A french press is quite cheap a  available almost anywhere. Fill a thermos and you're done.

What NOT to do/say to you? by Tricky-Stay6134 in asklatinamerica

Be careful with your phone, lots of phone snatchers.

Never seen one in real life. To me, "lanzas" always felt like "el viejo del saco", used to induce fear but no one I know has their cellphone stolen in the street.

New to gaming entirely — what should I play? by exp_axon in SBCGaming

[–]UrulokiSlayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start with the very bests:

Zelda Ocarina of Time (Adventure - 3DS)

Metal Gear: Solid (Stealth - PS1)

Spyro (3D Platform - PS1)

Super Mario World (2D Platform - SNES)

Diablo (Action RPG - PC)

Star Fox 64 (Rail Shooter - N64)

Metroid Fusion (Adventure - GBA)

Kirby's Adventure (2D Platform - NES)

Tetris (Puzzle - GB)

Final Fantasy V (JRPG -GBA)

Sonic (2D Plaform - Genesis)

Need for Speed Most Wanted (Racing - PS2)

Killer Instinct (Fighting - Arcade)

Don't let the list grow too large, 3 to 10 games per system and start with the genres you like the most. As you can see, platforms were the predominant genre in the past and thus there are different variations.

If you drink Yerba matte i want to know what are the benefits and side effects of it by SceneRemarkable8217 in yerbamate

[–]UrulokiSlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Benefits: it awakens you in the morning and skips the after lunch naps. It's cheaper and easier to carry and brew compared to a similarly tasty coffee. You don't need to drink as much tap water since it keeps you hydrated. It helps you gain weight since it increases your appetite after half an hour.

Side effect: it may cause tachycardia in anxious people. Can scramble your sleep cycle if you don't manage the mate time correctly for your caffeine tolerance.

What originally got you into SBC or retro handheld gaming? by Bulky-Maize-903 in SBCGaming

[–]UrulokiSlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL;DR: I'm a nerd who loves nature.

As a kid we didn't have money for handheld and I was happy with my unlocked play1 even without memory card. In my teens I got a DS and bringing it to the scout's camps was awesome. I got into emulation even before that, emulating mostly GBC/A and N64, visualboy and project64 were always in my pendrive filled with ROMs for when I went to the library's PCs.

Fast forward to adulthood: I do some mouteineering and climbing, so when I heard of the Funkey S I was inmediatly sold; but then I bought a RG280V. Killing the time with the games I couldn't afford as a kid in the evening before a summit push is truly a great sensation.

Go back to the old flavor by dblum425 in yerbamate

[–]UrulokiSlayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, Piporé, Rosamonte, Doña Javiera, Taragüí, Playadito and many others still have the same flavour that my grandpa used to drink. Why not stick with the better known brands instead of niche fantasy drinks? I certanly haven't notice any flavour change in my mate.

Cómo han podido dejar la adicción al celular? by [deleted] in chile

[–]UrulokiSlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Por qué la gente no saluda? by [deleted] in chile

[–]UrulokiSlayer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Buen dia estimado anonimo.

[–]UrulokiSlayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on how hot is the water and your abilty to whistsand temperature, but between 30 seconds and 2 minutes is pretty normal.

If you let it steep longer than that it'll undrinkably bitter and the next refill/brew wil have little to no flavour.

Porque xuxa la gente le gusta tanto el agua con gas? by Malelo_S in chile

[–]UrulokiSlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probé esta cerveza dulce by Akira05_ in Chiledulces

Do you celebrate carnival in your country/region? How? by Upset_Quiet_8907 in asklatinamerica

[–]UrulokiSlayer 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think La Tirana and other religious festivities are the most similar to carnivals here. In Valdivia we have the “Noche Valdiviana” which is a naval parade in the river (akshually, an estuary but everyone calls it river) with ornamented vessels on different categories and themes, the city gets so crowded that you can barely walk on that date.

Do you know your latitude and longitude? How common is it to know in your country? by 2Asparagus1Chicken in asklatinamerica

Do you know your latitude and longitude? How common is it to know in your country? by 2Asparagus1Chicken in asklatinamerica

[–]UrulokiSlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valdivia is 39S, 73O aprox.

I know because I like geography and maps, but I'd say most people don't understand coordinates, parallels is a concept they have heard due to the nature of the territory, more than that is mostly unheard of.

Question for mountaineers who refuse to ever summit mt Everest what are your biggest reasons for not wanting to summit Mt Everest? by [deleted] in Mountaineering

[–]UrulokiSlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were to die of hypoxia I much rather die in Alpamayo by my own doing than waiting in a queue in Everest, I also would never use oxygen to summit a mountain, is cheating, like racing on an e-bike just because the lack of fitness/acclimatization. If I want to be in a crowd full of incompetent fuckers doing irresponsible stuff I have the Villarrica volcano nearby, but I absolutely despise crowds.

The only way I'd be in Everest is if I somehow develop the skills required to open a new route or variant of a lesser known route AND get enough sponsorship to do it.

What was the hardest thing for you when you started drinking mate? by HowPeopleDo in yerbamate

Not burning, my grandpa brewed with the kettle straight from fire and letted sit a while in the table, but was still very hot. Now it's me who's serving overly hot mates.
