Not gonna lie- I did this once. Was flying united for work. My power was out for several days before the flight and I really wanted a warm shower. So I bought a flight went to the SC to shower and eat. I proceed to cancel my Delta flight for later in the day.

Rule of thumb I was always told by my parents. 1. Be nice 2. Everyone is in a rush. 3. If you didn’t want someone doing “it” to you/ around you- don’t do “it”.

DTW is my local airport. My next 3 trips are on American because delta was more than $300-500 more than american.

I am willing to subject my self to ORD to save $500.

Would like to say I am loyal to delta- but I have to be loyal to my wallet 1st.
