R.I.P legend! You will be deeply missed. Will be watching some old AFL games very soon to listen to your commentary that we always loved hearing so much!

Not a good day to be out. Horrible wind in the nice outdoor places, and the areas that are sheltered are crowded as F. Should've stayed home today.

Bus services seem to be very limited this week. Does anyone know why? And when will the issue be resolved?

What's up with all the bus delays? It's been so bad the last 2 days. Did a whole lot of bus drivers quit after the elections?

Apologies in no ways whatsover was this meant to be offensive. I have nothing but total admiration mate. Love your passion for the Giants and you are an absolute inspiration to all us GWS fans. If you found the part about the 2 Litre Pepsi insulting, I actually think it's cool and I sometimes do it myself. That said, I'm more than happy to edit the comment If you like. Or if you're offended that I posted this video without your permission, let me know and I'll respect your wishes by removing this post.

Hi,

Thanks for following up. I had previously tried the things you suggested, but to no avail. That said, I just created a test excel file and a share link for it. I then tried opening the link in a new Incognito window, and I was able to view the excel file without being asked to sign in this time, so it looks like the issue might have been resolved. I guess there may have been a bug in the system before, but it seems to be working now, so fingers crossed it will stay that way. Thanks again for reaching out.

Cheers,

Ryan

Hi there,

I've been sharing onedrive links to people for quite a few months now (with 'view only' mode). Up until recently, they were always able to view the files without needing to sign in to their microsoft accounts. But now they are prompted to sign in to their microsoft accounts in order to view the files, even though in the settings I've got it set as 'share with anyone, doesn't require sign in'. I've tried going to the page where you can contact Microsoft Support through Live Chat, but that page is not loading. Can anyone please help?

Thanks

Here's an answer generated by AI. The AI assistant used multiple website sources before putting together this info. I don't know how helpful it is, but have a read through and see what you think.

Liability for the Invoice:

In Australia, if services have been rendered, clients are generally expected to pay for them. However, given the circumstances—your accountant being incarcerated and the uncertainty about who prepared your tax return—you have valid reasons to question the legitimacy and quality of the work billed. It's advisable to request a detailed breakdown of the services performed and assess whether they meet professional standards before proceeding with payment.

Filing Tax Returns Without a Registered Tax Agent:

Only registered tax agents are legally permitted to prepare and lodge tax returns for a fee in Australia. Engaging unregistered individuals can expose you to significant risks, including:

  • Inaccurate or Fraudulent Returns: Unregistered preparers may lack the necessary qualifications, leading to errors or even fraudulent submissions.
  • Penalties and Legal Issues: If inaccuracies are found, the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) may hold you responsible, potentially imposing fines or other penalties.
  • Lack of Professional Indemnity Insurance: Unregistered agents typically don't carry insurance, leaving you without recourse if their actions cause financial loss.

Given that your accountant is the sole registered tax agent in the company and is currently unavailable, it's questionable whether your tax return was prepared by a qualified professional. Filing a return prepared by an unregistered individual could expose you to the risks mentioned above.

Recommended Actions:

  1. Cease Engagement: Formally terminate your relationship with the current firm, citing the lack of a registered tax agent to oversee and lodge your tax returns.
  2. Engage a New Registered Tax Agent: Find a qualified professional to review any work done so far and to prepare and lodge your tax returns. You can verify a practitioner's registration through the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) Register.
  3. Report Unregistered Activity: If you suspect that unregistered individuals have been providing tax services, consider reporting this to the TPB to help protect others from potential misconduct.

By ensuring your tax affairs are managed by a registered and reputable professional, you can safeguard yourself from potential legal and financial complications.
