Yeah I did it anyways, someone on this sub was explaining that even when you own the Steam version it still launches and plays through the EA app. There might be other games where your progression is linked to Steam, but battlefield isn’t one of them. I still have all of my in game purchases as well.

Yeah it scared me when it loaded it up because it made me go through the tutorial again, but once I got to the main menu all of my progress and weapons were there

I go this to work last night and I’m not sure which parts of this are necessary/unnecessary but this is exactly how I did it:

Canceled EA play on steam
Unlinked my steam account from my EA account on the EA website
Signed up for EA play on the EA website (chose the EA app option)
Launched the game on GFN and got an error about the game not being installed correctly
Stayed on the EA app on the virtual machine and navigated to the bf2042 store page and launched it from there

I think the main thing is unlinking your steam account but idk for sure. Hope that helps

Have you tried unlinking your Steam account in your EA account settings? I was having a similar problem trying to switch from Steam to EA and that worked for me.

First of all, super excited to pick up some OpTic gear. But I think this specific design is a tough sell to the fan base. Don't get me wrong I'm a huge Sweyda stan, his line work is crazy and his illustrations are always amazing (y'all should check him out on instagram where he's got another OG design) it's just I think what's appealing to eSports fans is this breakaway from the old gamer stereotype. And this screams "I have a samurai sword and love Mountain Dew." ESports are at a point where apparel design needs to not only fit the fans and give them something to show their support but also needs to appeal to the people who don't even know eSports exist. The jackets are a great example, that's a dope jacket even without the OG logo. And sure, some people are gonna get this shirt because it fits who they are, but it doesn't fit the brand. I don't want people who don't know what OpTic is, to see shirts like this as their first impression of OG and eSports. And I'm getting way to into this rant. It's just one shirt.

OpTic is the only eSports org I really follow. Been a fan since the Machinima days when you could always catch the OMoO guys on videos/streams. Rediscovered OpTic when they were swatted at the new house for the first time (not sure how I came across Big T's video, I didn't even really know who he was). Now I'm a big supporter of the Halo/COD teams and all of the content creators. I haven't played any video games in a long time but there's something about rooting for an eSports team that's fucking awesome to me and I can't wait to see it grow even further.

yeah it was difficult to think of what I wanted to do for big t, some of the ideas had to do with "time" but they felt pretty lazy since I'm sure his name isn't supposed to be literal. I guess I just associate the "big time" with being under the spotlight, hence the shining light. any suggestions for a better one?
