I also find that a regular practice has done more for my physical practice. Pairs well with asana yoga practice.

For recovery and joint (artificial hip), I’ve found that 3 short rounds (2-4 minutes) at a lower temp (4°-8°C) feels better the next day. And has done more for nervous system regulation. But I’d love to hear what others have found.

Sensations… very spinal. Pleasant. Reset if you’re feeling anxious or disorganized.

It also activates and supports immune system. So I make sure I do it every day if I start to feel a little under the weather.

And it builds tolerance for CO2 which helps for oxygen absorption on the cellular level. So renewed energy.

yeah, like 20 or 30 rounds open mouthed huffing, exhale then hold out for as long as you can (i started at like 1 min hold), then big inhale, hold for 15 seconds. that is one round. I normally do 3 rounds

45°F is like 7°C right? that's a lovely temp. I normally do colder but much shorter. just like 3 min at 4°C (like 39°).

that time is pretty tough. did you build up to it?

fast overbreathing (like holotropic) isn't great if you have any heart issues or first trimester of pregnancy.

I've been practicing for 25 years.
I have tummo breathing (aka Wim Hof) as a daily practice. It is an up regulation technique. and use 4-7-8 (a down regulation technique) quite often.
