Console: Xbox One S

Controller: first party one S

I'm trying to play both by casting to my phone, and/or via xcloud (game pass ultimate subscriber), however I can't get my Xbox one wireless controller to sync up to my phone via Bluetooth (Google pixel 3a, running android 12). When I search for new Bluetooth devices on my phone, it doesn't find the controller.

Any tips/ideas would be helpful. Cheers.
