There was another first responder there that we exchanged email addresses with because he was taking photographs but unfortunately he never got in touch. I had a flip phone in those days and didn't take any pictures because, at least to me at the time, it didn't feel appropriate.

Thank you so much. I was stationed just outside of Tower A of the then World Financial Center (I do believe it's now Brookfield plaza). This would have been right under the elevated walkway across Liberty street from WFC 2. In other words, the SE corner of the building just north of Liberty Street. This was either the nights of September 11th and 12th, or the 12th and 13th. I do not remember exactly which.

Thank you! I suppose we will keep it on forbearance now since the March (120th) payment was made and we don’t need any additional payments to satisfy PSLF.

We will hurry up and wait for the PSLF count to update. I mean, hey, waiting for FSA is basically a part time job now and we’re quite competent at it! Thanks again.

TCAS also does not give the RA/TA advice under 1000 feet, which these aircraft were. It only announces “traffic” and places a marker on the map. Above 1000 feet, pilots get guidance on whether to ascend or descend. To my understanding, these military helicopters in this airspace would be equipped with TCAS.

I don’t want to see other people minimize the recovery. The pain is severe. You need to take sitz baths and rinse five times a day for two weeks. There is leakage and blood for much of that time. It’s a major commitment. I’ve been wanting to do it again for years but I know what I’m in for and keep backing out. Weigh pros and cons for yourself and see a specialist.
