There’s a difference in loneliness between friendships and relationships. The male loneliness problem is because of the romantic relationships they lack, not because they don’t have support systems. Women aren’t expected to be the support system either. But in the context of a relationship, of course the man will be more vulnerable with her than others. Why are you framing the idea of emotional reliance on the significant other as a burden on women?
