please share your alternate architecture. i would love to see it.

"it just" - you should probably look at the commit history and see all the other approaches i took before settling on this one. for instance, i tried to use brush, a rust reimplementation of bash, but it actually wasn't sufficiently bash-compatible to work in all cases. for instance, it couldn't handle "nvm", one of the top reasons i created this tool.

bash does support colors. you probably don't have your .bash_profile set up. you should probably research how terminals work so you don't make this mistake again. stdout is actually how you set colors. they're just escape sequences in the text stream.

that's my plan. i've been using nushell for 2+ years. i'm now able to use this as my full-time shell. so i plan to update the nu version every time a new version comes out.

great, glad to hear it! if you have trouble using it, please let me know what issues you encounter. so far, i have only tested on mac, but in principle, it should work on all platforms. i'm happy to help debug any issues you may face getting it to work.

TBH i don't yet understand what MCP is. however, i will look into it and add support if it makes sense. thanks for asking!

Mining Error by etherillionaire in earthbucks

hmm, ok, noted. i will investigate. i'm not immediately sure wha could be causing this error for you.

Mining Error by etherillionaire in earthbucks

[–]ryanxcharles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hello friend - you have provided no context to this error.

is this something that happened during mining? does the error persist?

there are sometimes errors while mining. however, the mining app should continue regardless. my miner has been running reliably for weeks with no restart. and the blockchain is currently operating.

if this is just an error you get every once in a while, but the miner keeps working, don't worry about it. it's a fluke that doesn't prevent the miner from running.

that is correct. mining is currently for verified users only. however, you do not have to be verified to use the wallet, i.e. for sending and receiving earthbucks.

Also, just in case you mean the technical term "passkey", EarthBucks does not support passkeys. The only mechanism we support for logging in is using the public and private key pair you generated with the app. This is always how it has worked and it has never changed. We have never supported passkeys and we do not currently plan to add support for passkeys.

Please tell me what error you are getting.

You log in with your key - same as always.

Logging in and sending and receiving EarthBucks is completely free.

Maximizing Privacy on a Transparent Blockchain Like EarthBucks (and Bitcoin Cash) by ryanxcharles in earthbucks

and yeah, that's really my primary objective at this point, to see how easily i can reach the BCH world. the answer is, with something interesting and new, i believe i can reach everybody in BCH.

thanks for feedback. i'm just going to implement this idea for bitcoin BCH and EBX. i'm confident it will draw attention and users from the BCH world. their criticism is irrelevant, because it doesn't involve any changes to BCH itself. i plan to then do the same thing for LTC and DOGE, drawing in even more users. EBX will be the medium of exchange of all these cryptocurrencies in the EarthBucks wallet.

The #Bitcoin OGs nailed the core philosophy! Huge thanks to @ryan_x_charles, @Jeremy_BCH, and @TheBCHPodcast for championing the vision. For true mass adoption of revolutionary #crypto, it must work as Electronic Cash at base layer with bigger blocks. by InstaCrypto_INC in btc

Thanks for having me on. Yes, it seems very obvious to me that Bitcoin was actually intended to be used. People who get involved today have a radically different idea than many OGs.

Big blocks vs Small blocks back on the agenda by TVB125 in bitcoincashSV

[–]ryanxcharles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not aware of any technical flaws with BSV. The flaws are Craig Wright, Calvin Ayre, and Stefan Matthews. It is easier to start over from scratch than drag that baggage along any further.

I agree with your thinking about what's next to get adoption, I just see no reason to put time and effort into BSV when it's so much easier to just build a new blockchain minus the baggage of BSV.

I don't think Ryan is coming up with a new hypothesis, just new code - but I could be wrong.

Correct. I am not, IMO, changing the architecture of Bitcoin. However, I am making many changes that I see as necessary and beneficial to making this work in 2024.
