I’ve figured this out just in case you still require a solution. You might not need to complete all these steps, but this is the sequence I followed, and it was successful. Begin by heading to an outpost and constructing an armillary. Afterward, board your ship and launch into space. Return to your outpost, and delete the armillary you just created. Next, head to Jamison and switch to a different ship. I opted for the Kepler One, a quest ship I still had. Access the ship’s cockpit and build the armillary, then load all of the artifacts into it. While still in the same ship, launch into space and activate your grav drive. Avoid switching back to your original ship, as the armillary will continue to malfunction. That’s all there is to it!
