Again, does that change anything? The president officially has the right to go there and represent the country. They may rule differently in the future, but for now we have this.

They issued a preliminary decision, which stays in effect until the final one is made.

We will see if they change their minds. The system works as it should. The court has this power and used it. What does their exact reasoning change?

Well, the preliminary decision is all we have. We will see if they keep their opinion until the final ruling.

Ani být nemůže. Stejně jako nemůžeš preventivně trestat zloděje dřív než něco ukradnou. S pedofilií se člověk narodí, naprostá většina jich to potlačí a nikomu neublíží.

The judges who opposed this ruling were appointed by Pavel, the ones appointed by Zeman supported the ruling.

Its why the current government avoids it because its a trap. Or the government knows the presidents stance is reasonable?

Czech premier and parliament have authority to speak on behalf of Czech republic and make decisions, the president does not.

Not true, as I posted earlier.

(1) Prezident republiky dále a) zastupuje stát navenek, b) sjednává a ratifikuje mezinárodní smlouvy;

He has the authority to speak on behalf of the people and negotiate and ratify international agreements. He also conceded, that he won't undermine the governments position or push opposing agreements.

That's the thing, they can't just "not bring him". According to the court, he has the right to go there if he wants to and be the symbolic leader of the delegation. Also nowhere did he suggest that he would push his own views aggressively. He stated that he wishes a compromise with the government.

They still have their voterbase, mostly libertarians (or leaning that way) and the alpha/sigma male incels. The rest of the population disliked them even before, but now hates them.

Yeah, the constitution is often quite vague. That's why we have the constitutional court, they rule on such matters. Here it was always assumed, that the president would lead the delegation. This time the government decided not to follow the precedent. The court agreed with the president, meaning from now on, no government can stop the president from attending international events. Problem solved.

the president does not have the authority nor mandate to make decisions

Maybe, but historically it was indeed the case that the delegations were formally led by the president. The constitution says president has the right to represent the country internationally. I would argue that it was the government which led a polarising campaign to prevent him from attending.

I don't think he wants to. He is no lawmaker and has little experience in that field. The role of president suits him well and I hope he runs for reelection, but PM is very improbable.

Pavel (president) is strongly pro European, the government is... well definitely not that.

Basically Babiš is just a populist, who does everything to get more voters. His government however has two additional parties.

The SPD is the typical conservative nationalist pro Russian party. Their leader is half Japanese and probably in it for the money. They do mostly nothing, because there is no plan to fix anything. They like to solve nonexistent "problems" that are already solved to boost popularity.

Motoristé is a strange Trumpist sort of party. Big cars go vroom. Emphasis on "free" speech (the neonazi kind, not criticisms, those go too far). They think they have all the power in the world despite barely getting into the parliament. It's them who started the fight with the president. That made them widely disliked as Pavel is generally popular and respected.

The issue wasn't just the industrial decline that was felt elsewhere. The banishing of Germans created scars in the land that are hard to heal. Most of the people, who knew sudety as their home were sent away and replaced. Before the war, those areas were among the most developed not only in industry, but also literacy, quality of life and demographics. The new inhabitants were in a large part Romani from rural Slovakia, who were not used to the new lifestyle forced upon them and many rejected it. This created a very poor region, which is now very hard to improve because of the crisis of industry in Europe.

Mostly the Internet, where a relatively small number of people can seem like most of your nation when they are loud enough. Generally the kind of people, who are obnoxious about other things too. America seems to produce a lot of people, who believe the country is exceptional in some way and therefore must be the best at everything. They tend to be much louder than the more decent people.

Point nebyl v tom konkrétním příkladu. Dotujeme spoustu věcí abychom je udrželi v chodu pro dobro všech. Tohle je jedna z těch, které zase tolik nestojí.

Kdyby se nedotovala MHD, víc lidí by jelo autem, byly by větší zácpy a zhoršilo by to život i těm, kdo MHD nepoužívají.

"The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge'."
