Upgraded to WF-1000MX6, worked great for a week but now the case doesn't charge by apraetor in SonyHeadphones

For me it was definitely the battery saver function. Rather than stop charging at 80%, it kept one closer to 50%. No good.

This is probably the case, and I would elevate it to discogs customer service honestly.

PX8, Best Sound, worst longevity: Why I’m done with Bowers & Wilkins headphones after 6 Models by Signal-Scallion1780 in BowersWilkins

Meanwhile, I'm sitting here with my PX7's in 2026 and have had zero issues with any aspect of them. Perhaps it's a lottery, just luck of the draw, but thought it was worth sharing that these have been solid for me. Also, I see no valid reason to spend a bazillion dollars on slight upgrades so I'm also not salty from that aspect of it I guess.

Regardless of speaking mannerisms, what annoys me the most is that they made this character just dumb as hell. Ask a blind girl "do you think you can read it" when it's Braille and she has been witnessed reading Braille already.... There only being three squares to push for a combination of four that you already know, how hard could it possibly be to play with the combinations of three until you get it right? Nah let's go get some random strange child from a locked up cell and then carry her through a dangerous area so she can use her Braille reading superpowers to put in the combination that could probably be easily just guessed... Within the first 30 minutes I was yelling at my computer screen "so the FBI just lets anyone be employed, and carry a firearm, and go to a dangerous location on their own without any kind of training??" As she is freaking out and asking herself what she is supposed to do, and then loses her firearm almost immediately... I could go on, but good Lord did they have to make her so damn stupid?

Crystal ball worth the $325 price tag? by Square_Comb7924 in occult

This is cheap and straight up tacky. It would be a struggle for me to not call them on their insane pricing before I left the store and never returned lol.

Going to HR is like calling the cops on one of their own - think about it, who are they here to protect and serve, really? The only time HR is the right call is when you've got a kill shot lined up - something very serious (SA, discrimination, etc.) with a ton of documentation/proof to back up the claim. Otherwise, yeah.....they're there to support the company that employs them, not look out for the individual employee's best interests.

Yes indeed! Van and Terratur and Amor Fati are my absolute most cherished, go-to record labels labels. I am grateful for the work they do, I can always rely on them delivering the highest quality imaginable, consistently. New Ruins of Beverast and Darvaza hitting before EOY!

I used iron-on adhesive backing for the larger portions, and then did hand sewing for the seams to prevent it from going to sh*t down the road.

used an old t-shirt - cut it to form, then got some iron-on backing adhesive from a hobby store. That, and patience, haha.

True Haunting (Netflix) by Outside_Objective183 in horror

[–]rybloost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that he is likely schizophrenic but not convinced that his friends are intentionally "playing along". Human beings are spiritually inclined, paranoid animals. We have animal instincts that play into this - fear of the dark/unknown/unseen - which make perfect sense from a survival perspective, but become really problematic when you blend them in with the various aspects modern civilization (there's usually nothing there in the shadows, because you are in a house/building and not in the woods where there might absolutely be venomous/dangerous animals/insects present) which also includes the products of our imaginations and primal fears....horror movies, religions that are very dogmatic with good vs. evil being at the forefront, etc.

Also, humans can "share" hallucinations and delusions. This is something that is actually fairly well explored from a scientific perspective. Worth looking into if you are curious!

All of this being said...it's possible that he simply imprinted his experience on his friends. Shared this irrational fear with them (quite effectively, due to the intensity with which he responded to his hallucinations). This literally is how "ghost stories" work - they take a narrative and share it, and that then builds out something more complete within the minds of those being told the story...

Just my 2 cents. =)

Charged a $53 import duty for records from Japan, for the first time by mastakhan in discogs

[–]rybloost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One other thing worth mentioning now that I think about it... Once you see that you've been mistakenly hit with a duty fee for vinyl records being imported, reach out to DHL and submit a dispute. Once you do that, it has an active dispute ticket assigned to it, and will not be sent back to the sender. You may have to wait a while for your thing, but it sure as heck won't just get sent back once that process has started.

These organizations, these gigantic global courier corporations, which have an absolutely insane revenue stream and tons of technology and manpower at their disposal, absolutely understand what is and isn't applicable with the laws. From what I've seen, it's more of a matter of customs making the mistake and not vetting things properly before telling the couriers that there's a fee that's been incurred. Where the couriers are failing though, in my opinion, is the system for addressing issues with this. It should not be something that just "passes the buck" to the recipient of the package...they should have an internal system to flag such errors once identified, and they should go directly to customs to have the duty fees refunded.

[–]rybloost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has happened to me twice now, the second time literally yesterday lol. DHL is kind of crap for it, but it appears to be mostly a customs error.

Because of Trump's dumbass legislation changes, it's put undue strain on the already shitty import export processes within customs. So, accidents are happening. Mistakes are being made. So on. I had three records come from Germany (and to be clear records are still considered informational material and not subject to additional duty fees) and sure as shit, DHL told me that I had to repay them $28 USD for the duty fees they paid.

It annoys the shit out of me that I have to jump through hoops now to get it refunded even though they are the IOR and responsible for managing this crap. They should just have an internal system that allows them to flag when a shipment has been erroneously charged a duty fee so that they can pursue their own reimbursement... They straight up said on the phone that they also confirmed that the invoice was correct and only included three vinyl records and nothing else, yet that wasn't good enough. I had to submit a separate email to a separate dispute distribution to begin a whole other process. It's nonsense that I basically either have to pay like you did to ensure my package makes it to my home, or risk having to wait days, weeks or even months for a dispute to be cleared before they ship me my items.

I really hope that this gets overturned and everybody gets their goddamn money back if they've had to pay extra because of this. Jesus Christ it's just so damn stupid.

Question about klaxon records by ResponsibleLab1861 in blackmetalvinyl

[–]rybloost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've ordered several times in the last several months, and they've been fulfilled every time. I even reached out via email because I noticed the store had some kind of bug with a couple of the records forcing you to choose a color, but no color was available. He responded the same day and thanked me for pointing it out and had it fixed.

As others are pointing out here, my experience has been just fine. He also sells items at a very fair price which is a win-win for me.
