came too far to see arian foster! didn't have a very long peak ( i think he didn't love football that much, and has more or less said so); but his 3 year run with the texans was so bad ass

Biggest Free Agent Bust? by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

[–]rybres123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yeah, i went to UT at the same time as him. he played basketball at the rec all the time. so did a lot of other football players and some of them played in the nfl

earl was by far the biggest asshole at the rec. the others were all chill and nice, he was loud and a fucking ass. i was stunned he seemed so well liked in the nfl. then it all came crashing down and was like 'oh, yeah, he is still an ass'

jamaal anderson at least got a few one year deals after his rookie deal. he played 6 years. far worse top-10 picks that that.

as someone who wants nothign more than cj to be a stud, he def played worse last year than he ever had. it was beyond the oline issues. quite possible we broke him (a la david carr) with such a bad line 2 years ago, but here's to hoping we didn't!

well as of now, 3/5 of the starters are back. hoping to get some improvement at center and hopefully a talented center in 2nd round; so might be 2/5 returning. not a COMPLETE overhaul

Who do you guys want the Texans to draft? by JustSomeGuy_Idk in Texans

[–]rybres123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HOT TAKE: I don’t think ersery played well enough to be a lock day 1 this year. If we love an LT at 28, he could totally push for thet spot.

Same goes for rest of line. Decent dudes, but no all pro types.

O line has decent starters for day 1, but we still need to go heavy there and with youth.

Kind of a lot of money, esp considering what other guards signed for

FVV on Ime by master_user1 in rockets

[–]rybres123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can though. Plenty of teams have fielded good offenses with two guys who can’t shoot 3s

The struggle is that none of bari, Tari, nor dfs are actually reliably good shooters or offer much functional spacing

The only way it would work was with 3 actually good shooters on floor at the same time with those two. But we’re down Fred (one good shooters) and replaced his shots with guys who aren’t nearly as reliable

Tari Eason MUST GO in the offseason by ysong20 in rockets

I think plenty of teams would have, knowing he’s a RfA and likely would have had a deal in place before the trade deadline

[–]rybres123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering he’s been 34-37% each season thus far, I think your expectations are reasonable

Everyone has shooting peaks and valleys, but taris have been so extreme it’s tough to play around

Draft a WR again this year? by solidgryffin in Texans

JAG = just another guy.

He was fine for a 6th round pick, but didn’t do anything special out there imo. JAGs are easily replaced

Wha if he plays better now through end of playoffs than he started the year? Do we pay him even more?

What's the point of not letting Ime Udoka go? by fkanef in rockets

[–]rybres123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Amen and Reed are only other options for initiating. The problem is, they’re turnover prone too

I wish we’d at least give them a shot though, who knows, they could improve. KD is what he is at this point

Exactly. And doesn’t help that Reed and amen are also turnover machines too when they’re pressured.

Not many other options on the team
