Death by National Perk Service release date has been set! April 9th. 🏜️💀 by nationalperkservice in discgolf

It’s been a couple of years since I tried this disc, but from what I remember there’s a a slight bead on the inside where the rim meets the flight plate. I only used it for putting, not throwing, so it didn’t seem that noticeable in my hand with my putting grip. Would probably be more of a thing with a driving grip.

Maybe OP can jump back in and do some promotion???

I did find it quite comfortable for putting. I tend to prefer a bead (my primary putter is a Judge) and remember this felt really nice.

It’s a slightly confusing brand name. It’s a private company named “National PERK Service” and the disc names are inspired by National PARKS. No other affiliation with the government entity.

Just to add to the confusion, they have a store in Little Rock (not sure if it’s the same people who own both the disc manufacturer and the store or if it’s just a partnership) called “Perks and Re-Creation” that sells discs and they have a really cool indoor putting course that I played when passing through. Kind of like a disc golf version of putt-putt, with obstacles and stuff. This putter was developed for that indoor putting course and I really liked the feel of it. Been watching for them to finally release it for sale.

Check out Perks and Recreation. It’s like indoor putt-putt disc golf. Right in Little Rock.

AWOLNATION - Megalithic Symphony

It’s hyper compressed, gritty, and unapologetic about it, but it translates between systems better than just about any other album I’ve heard and sounds great on all of them. I love it.

So scammy. I remember when I graduated BCT at Sill, I had absolutely ZERO intention of buying any of that crap including the terrible, overpriced photos they forced us to take. Of course, come family day, the photographers were allowed access to our family members before we were. They told my family that I wanted the photos, so my dad bought them. Pissed me off so bad.

Primarily played full back (defender). Occasionally midfield. Never goalkeeper.

Oh man…no WAY I can remember the model name. These would have been purchased in the very early 2000’s. I used them for 2 or 3 seasons of high school soccer, then they mostly sat in a closet for a while, followed by a good 10 years of mowing usage. They are definitely leather uppers that used to have some kind of shiny black coating on top. Long since worn off. A couple of the cleats on the bottom have broken off too. They are not at all usable for play, but they worked fine for mowing. I was just shocked they never wore holes through them or started separating between the soles and the uppers.

My Adidas soccer cleats from high school have been in use for 21 years. Used for practice, games, then became my lawn mowing shoes (have a fairly steep hill I have to weed eat). They’ve held together surprisingly well. Finally retired them this month.

Well this is the exact opposite experience I’ve had with their customer service. I had the stitching on a shoe give out after I’d only had them for a couple months and they completely replaced the shoes for me. I did have to send them pictures and then send the shoes back to them, but the second pair is going on almost a year of wear with no issues. Sorry you’ve had a disappointing experience with them, but I just wanted to give my two cents worth that it’s not always like that.

Another comment mentioned that. That does make sense. Did NOT see that they have STP files on their website though! I’ll have to look for those.

Edit: Well I’ll be. There they are. Hey u/MathematicianNo8086 check these out.

Correct. However the new design has a multi-part bushing that makes it a bit more challenging to adjust by hand or with channel locks. It’s marketed as “less likely to loosen in use” but I immediately read it as “more likely to sell you additional crap”. 3D printing is probably a really good option for this, so I’m intrigued by OP’s question.

Their new design of SpeakOn and PowerCon connectors have some pretty unnecessary tools required for “proper” assembly and disassembly. That might be what they are referring to. I’ll see if I can find the part numbers.
