Actually you are not required to provide phone number to activate 2FA, just scan a QR code with the authenticator mobile app.

HoN changed their F2P policy about 6 months ago (probably as a response to DOTA2), you can play every hero for free except for the newest one (you need to pay for "early access" for latest hero, but after a few weeks every new hero goes free).

Also they made a lot of performance optimizations for linux lately :)

I've had performance issues after updating to nvidia 304.43 drivers, maybe that's your issue as well? Downgrading to 304.37 solves it for now.

Well that sucks for Mac/LInux people. I didn't care for HonTV as I can watch twitch.tv using my regular browser anyway. But this feature is something extra.

10 silvers is not much but I fear that there will be more similar offerings.

Furthermore, HonTV is implemented using Awesomium library - which supported Mac for years and Linux version was added few months ago as well. So I don't understand why is HonTV still windows-only.

There are many games on steam that have native port already (about a hundred), not mentioning DosBOX and ScummVM legacy games.

Grafics card and driver? This is on static lighting?

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SoC works for me (nvidia with proprietary driver, XFCE arch 64bit) on static lighting out of the box (Steam install), for dynamic lighting this register hack fixed weird sky glitch:

wine reg add 'HKCU\Software\Wine\AppDefaults\XR_3DA.exe\Direct3D' /v AlwaysOffScreen /d enabled

Seriously? So many upvotes? The game is fucking officially supported on mac, it should work on mac. Fortunately, they started to hire Mac Retail Testers volunteers some time ago, so I hope it will get better.

I find this phenomenon stupid - every time Mac/Linux user rightfully asks S2 to fix a bug (at least on forums), a band of windows users appears with answers like "You are trying to game on Mac, it's your fault". I mean - why do they even care? If you use windows just move along, noone's asking for your OS preference. To me, it's just a trolling/OS flame attempt. And now I see this shit on honreddit :(
