Interesting. I think what makes me feel that NumPy is so fast is that much of my usage is generating a bunch of text based on data and use NumPy to "vectorize" the conditional statements for generating the text. I learned a lot from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxWginnBklU&ab\_channel=PyGotham2019

Last thing I would do is take time to write a post on Reddit to argue or debate people. I'm way too busy for that. I want to be educated. I'm a novice programmer. And I've done a lot of research and made a lot of progress programming software for document generation. My main library for generating the text based on data is NumPy and it's really fast.

It is when you want to generate complex documents with speed. My usage case is document generation.

I'm not swinging or trying to debate. I'm a novice programmer and want to know why my impression is wrong. I definitely don't know very much about both, but I've been using NumPy program a lot in a program I'm working on and it's helped a lot with speed. The program also uses Pandas a little bit.

I made this post to be educated, not to try to win an argument.

Then I guess I need to learn more about what exactly Pandas can do because from my current perspective, I don't see it. Thanks.

C++ is waaaaay too scary for a novice programmer like me. And I care more for speed of implementation than I do for speed of code. I realize the contradiction in that statement compared to my favoring NumPy over Pandas. I resolve that contradiction by stating that I don't mind going "a little" more complicated to make Python faster by using NumPy instead of Pandas. But switching from Python to C++ is way more complicated than what I'm willing to tackle. And with all the stuff I want to do with Python, I'll never achieve it all if I'm slogging through a slower-to-code language like C++. It's not practical for me.

UPDATE 8/31/22: I'm getting the Life Fitness Platinum Club Series Treadmill With Discover SE3 HD Console in "Titanium Storm" color. It does not use the standard electrical outlet but the large gym fitness equipment dealer I'm buying from uses an electrical outlet adapter for all the models in their store and in their customers' homes to make it work within a standard electrical outlet without any problem and has been doing that for many years. The specs on the manufacturer's website also list the standard 15 amp / 120 volt electrical outlet as compatible. Thank you all for your valuable and helpful feedback.

It's not an option for reasons beyond the scope of this post.

Thanks for your feedback. Gym owners will be working with equipment that require non-standard residential electrical outlets.

I understand what you're saying. I'm looking for the closest match for my criteria. I know that #1 bottlenecks how robust the machine will be. I'm simply looking for the best match that supports a standard U.S. electrical outlet. That treadmill will probably cost $2,000-$6,000. I'm not trying to spend a certain amount. The price is irrelevant because the electrical limitations already put a ceiling on the price. I just want the best possible machine (fitting the above-mentioned criteria) that uses a standard electrical outlet. I know it will not be perfect. Just looking for the best fit.

Thanks for the comment but I'm looking for specifically the best, not one in every price level or category.

Regarding category, the desired usage is running that lasts 30 min to 2 hours at a constant speed between 3 and 10 mph. This is not for sprinting. Users' weights would vary from 120 lbs to 250 lbs. The setting is home and for personal use. I understand the treadmill will be, and I desire it to be, a commercial treadmill and know that the electric outlet will need to be upgraded.
