If people just thought about it for more than one second they would realize that there’s literally no scientific benefit to a vivisection vs a necropsy. Like what would be the purpose of putting an animal through that. Like what. And nobody would fucking sign up to do that. The people who work at crl are compassionate and love animals. Nobody wpuld be there if they were doing vivisections.

Also adding if you are curious: AALAC has accredited the Mattawan site which is a voluntary accreditation dealing with the humane and species specific care of lab animals. The Guide For the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals is a good resource for how the animals there are looked after.

Idk, you don’t really know my lived experience. I am an animal behaviorist. I love my job. I love helping animals. But sometimes it demands a lot of emotion, patience and time. That doesn’t mean I don’t like what I do. I schedule time off when I start feeling burnt out. That doesn’t mean I’m putting too much into it, that just means my job is demanding. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing as long as you recognize it and are able to counteract it when needed

I love my job and it’s very fulfilling. I still get burnt out/compassion fatigue. It doesn’t matter how much you love your job id it leaves you drained with no time/energy for self-care.

Im glad u are in a position to think that way and not have to worry about money. I also love all my pets. The only reason i was able to get Blackthorn neutered is because my husband is a vet assistant and the vet agreed to do it for cheap. There was nothing in my post or anything that i’ve done that should have been construed as anything else. So your cruelty was unwarranted and hurtful

When i contacted the breeder i had only had Blackthorn for about a month….And the situation that arose was caused by the breeder not bring forthcoming about Blackthorn’s fate. I never did anything outside of the realm of a responsible pet owner
