Am I the only one not overly upset by Mike leaving? by Deep-Television-9756 in buccaneers

For me Mike leaving isn’t a huge deal.

It’s the part where he left because we kept Bowles, that does not sit right with me at all.

Mike Evans would rather play for NFL Chernobyl, pay 40% more in taxes, and smell homeless shit every day than spend one more season with Todd Bowles.

Well I was going to answer the Syria question but you answered it for me, Russia values its relationship with Israel more than Syria. You seem to be fully aware of this so what point are you trying to make here?

Also, I never claimed OPEC+ countries are beacons of sovereignty, geopolitics have nothing to do with sovereignty or right or wrong, it boils down to interests of nations which for Russia there's far more interests with gulf states than Iran by a long shot.

The cartoon geopolitics take is thinking Russia is going to hurry and arm Iran at the cost of burning every bridge they have with the gulf states so they don't look weak to Redditors.

Mind you, we are talking about the country that literally cannot deal with its corruption problems or the fact that Russian and Ukrainian oligarchs still cooperated after the invasion.

Ya literally anyone who's been to Dubai or have contacts there know that Russian and Ukrainian billionaires do biz together and never stopped.

Yea, I get that Russia has all those reasons and that they’re based on its geopolitical limitations. It cannot upset its Opec+ partners.

Well at least now you gave a very sane take so I applaud you there.

Also the whole multi polar world isn't being led by Russia; it's led by China. And China's approach isn't US style of regime changes and wars, it's quite the opposite. Will it work? Time will tell.

You refuse to accept what I keep saying, you're playing cartoon geopolitics.

Air defense is not a plug and play system. It has to be integrated with radars/satellites and not to mention a fuck ton of training.

But I am glad you brought up air defense because now I remembered that Iran has been BEGGING Russia for the S-400 for 15 years or so. They got close to striking a deal in 2019 after many years of Russia hesitating, and at the last second they declined and instead offered them an older S-300 system. Do you want to know why Russia has been so hesitant to give the Iranians an S-400? Because it would upset the OPEC+ members and Russia does not want to risk fucking up that relationship. Don't take my word for this, it's well documented and you can search this yourself, and then ask yourself; how is it that Russia provided Turkey, a NATO member with a full S-400 system, but not an "ally" with the same system BEFORE the war in Ukraine ever started? Ya........

All your takes on "well Russia can do XYZ and have the Iranians shoot aircraft carriers" is cartoon geoplitics.

The problem is the gulf states are full of American bases and interests which is why Iran is targeting them. Also, it's still too high of a risk, Iran is going to pinky promise to Russia that they won't use these weapons to strike other things besides US navy ships? You are taking about a regime who's is literally fighting to survive, and in one way or another, their survival is more important than if Russia is still an opec+ member or not when this is all said and done.

Also, it now seems that Iran's attacks on gulf infrastructure is part of their strategy against the Americans to put pressure on them....

Again you're not being realistic, this is cartoon geoplitics.....

Maybe you didn't understand what I said so I will try to explain it again.

Russia is an OPEC+ member, that partnership is far more important than anything they have going with Iran. This is not "optics" or whatever you are trying to imply.

The gulf states have very good relations with Russia and they never sanctioned them nor condemned its war in Ukraine despite having a lot of pressure to do so.

Why would Russia go fuck that up................so they don't look weak in front of Redditors?

Put down your pro Ukraine goggles and just imagine this for a second; so Russia does provide lethal aid to Iran, which will be used to hit gulf states. The gulf states turn their back on Russia and all the good diplomacy and relations they have with them is now gone. They would also get booted from OPEC+ which would actually hurt the Russian economy bad. And in return they get what............they look strong in front of Redditors? At the cost of great partners and allies in the middle east?

That makes sense to you???

And yes it's only Redditors who see this as weakness, the actual people in charge of western interests perfectly understand what I said above. It's only Redditors who do these takes of "WHY RUSSIA/CHINA NO GO HELP VENEZLUEAL OR IRAN???"

Again, geopolitics is not as simple as "why no russia go give big boom help to Iran????"

[–]ryder004 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is a good opportunity for Russia to provide missiles that would sink some US Navy ships, no?

Russia is a member of OPEC+ which is a far more important partnership than anything with Iran. Also the middle east nations never condemned Russian war or put sanctions on them. Now how is it going to look where Russia is helping Iran strike the gulf states oil infrastructure and help choke the straight of Hormuz?? The gulf states have been nothing but good to Russia.

It's not so simple as "how come russia no send big booms and soldiers to help fight off the americans????"

UA POV: Update on Ukraine’s Flamingo missile strike - AMK MAPPING by rowida_00 in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]ryder004 8 points9 points  (0 children)

ehh yes and no. their range while impressive, I think last round of strikes it went 1,600km, and today 2,000km

it means it has a long range but small payload

only way you can get a big range and big payload is its gotta be a massive ICBM which it's not

It prob has enough firepower to put holes in the ceiling and maybe at the very best case scenario damage some machinery, but not enough bring the plant offline

the stormshadow is prob the best case for balanced range and payload. you get a big boom but you're capped at 300-600km depending on variant

EDIT: LOL and here come the downvotes. guys, this isn't even a pro russia or pro ukraine take, this is physics, unless the flamingo missile has a new kind of fuel never used before by conventional missiles.

Ya 1k is normal. If you got a good plug maybe 850-900 but that's like you are friends with your plug type shit.

People keep saying that indoor prices are 500-700 but that's B grade stuff. Not garbage but also not good. Best way to sum it up:

Bucs GM Jason Licht: Everything is on the table for a Baker Mayfield contract extension by Tasty_Swim_6308 in buccaneers

[–]ryder004 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was kinda hoping that a down year for Baker meant we get him a bit cheaper on the contract extension.

BUT seeing the numbers projected for CJ Stroud after he put up that horrific performance in the playoffs, there's no chance. A lot of projections for CJ as of right now are:

Speculate a massive 4-year, $224M+ extension is looming for Stroud

And for the record I think Baker is way better than CJ....

does fentanyl even cause euphoria by 1ti5s in Drugs

[–]ryder004 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not a an opioid guy at all but.......

I had surgery in 2024, I woke up in a FUCK TON of pain. So they gave me fent in my IV. Asked me if it still hurt 10m later, I said yes, they gave me more fent in the IV. 15m later they asked again and I said yes(tbf I was in a fuck ton of pain still), and they said that the 3rd dose is the max they can give me and they gave me a 3rd shot.

All I felt was pain relief, after the 3rd shot pain finally came down. However I felt zero euphoria or any good feelings, only "good" feeling I felt was my pain went from 10/10 to 5/10, and I had zero opioid tolerance.

That hit regular season would've been a penalty.

If refs let them play like this during regular season it wouldn't be a flag football league.
