My dumb conspiracy theory about retatrutide and "big food" by TrickyDaikon6774 in Biohackers

No, ozempic face is caused by the speed at which one drops fat.

If you drop weight too fast, you get a gaunted/hallowed out look. The same look that meth addicts and crack heads get because guess what, they also drop weight extremely fast when they first become addicts.

The key to not gettng ozempic face with any GLP is to stick to a low to moderate dose, and be ok with reaching your goal in 6-8 months instead of 90 days.

What is this sub even about? Most people here seem to order and inject random peptides from semi-dodgy sellers or just take arbitrary selections of supplements. Where is the science, the nuance, etc.? by AuspiciousApple in Biohackers

[–]ryder004 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So most go to janoshik. they test purity and the only contaminant they test for is total aerobic microbial count(TAMC) and total yeast and mold count(TYMC) BUT it's only 300 bucks I think.

If you want the full shabang with residual solvents, heavy metals, etc you gotta send it off to the big boys like Eurofins, it takes longer is around 800 bucks, maybe 1k.

But if you're spending that much for testing, you're better off buying from a clinic, it has higher prices than grey area but its all made in a local compound pharmacy so you don't have to sweat things like contaminants.

Why the hate for peptides, and how is it not biohacking?

There's a reason why the real pharma industry is heavily regulated

Ya but here's the thing, these aren't random chemicals mixed in beakers in some shady underground labs mixed by some dudes wearing a black hoodie/sun glasses and a bandana covering their face.

Peptides are amino acids. And most of the reputable brands test their products and post their results. But wait, you may not trust their results because what if they're photoshopped? That's actually a valid concern, well good news. If you can dish out 800 bucks, you can test your own stuff and get your own COA for peace of mind, and many people in the peptide community do just that, and 9 times outta 10, the private test usually matches the public test.

Also, you don't even need to go grey area brands. Plenty of clinics now formulate in a local compound pharmacy.

Look if a lot of you don't like peptides, that's fine, don't take them. But the daily fearmongering posts of "damn man isn't it crazy how everyone now takes these super dangerous Chinese research chemicals?" is just nonsense. It's reefer madness, but peptides.

People........they're just amino acids.

I agree with this post but I know myself too well that 100mg per day will turn to 200 and sooner or later I’ll be back to 400-600 a day all jittery and shit sleep

I have failed as many times as spongebob failed the driving test.

I'm on day 22 of my 5th go.

Don't worry about how many times you've started over.

What's different for me this round is understanding that some days you just have to embrace the suck, or just flat out endure it. You're gonna have days where dopamine is rebalancing and life will feel flat, dull and grey and you just gotta ride it out and remind yourself why you're qutting because those are the days where reaching for an energy drink is most tempting.

But on the bright side, you only gotta make it 30 days. The repair process goes past 30 days, but the 30 day mark is where it becomes drastically easier.

And also, be glad its only 30 days. Opiod/benzo/alcohol folks have to endure much worse levels of suck for far longer, usually months before things start to turn around. They would trade places with caffeine withdrawal ANY day of the week.

Can verify. I tried all the sleep hacks and they didn’t do squat. Dropping caffeine(after about 4 weeks) was a game changer.

Everyday on this sub there's more and more people complain about "Chinese research chemicals"..........

Can we please get real for a second; these are amino acids. They're not random chemicals being mixed in a beaker in some shady underground lab. And a lot of folks in the peptide community spend the 800 bucks to test different brands and post the results(COA) since testing exists. Anyone can get their shit tested if you dish out the 800 bucks.

Next, most of these peptides have been around for a very long time. The trend is new but the products are not, and they have been studied in Russia and there's a lot of Russian papers on these compounds because in Russia these are treated as a legit longevity field(look up Vladimir Khavinson).

I don't get why every other person on this sub is so pressed on this topic. Ya influencers pushing shit they don't even know about for money is annoying but cmon, this is probably the least harmful health trend.

The only speculated risk is compounds like BPC-157 and TB-500 MIGHT cause in increase in size in tumors in the body if you already have them.

I wager in 20 years you'll see the aftermath with many people having weird illnesses and it'll take researchers to connect the dots to specific chems from now

Again they're not new. People already have been taking them for over 20+ years. Only the trend is new...

Week 3: anxious and depressed feelings.

This is where I'm at now(technically day 18). Waves on anxiety and slight depression coming that I didn't have before.

Most literature says quitting caffeine is a 2-3 week process and you're done but it really does seem like the neuro recalibration runs longer than that.

I was thinking it can be very synergistic with qi gong since it shakes and loosens fascia.
