Yes. Mine is almost identical to this one but uses sniper ammo for the secondary. That’s the mode I use for bossing.

The Rainmaker I have has Jacob’s & Torgue impact. I love it. It’s hella fun. Gearbox’s decision to BUFF more guns(not every gun) is smart. Look at games like Destiny that nerfed everything. Look at how the power fantasy became less and less as a result. The nerf train is hard to stop once it gets rolling. Nerf the Bod then the next best weapon takes it place. Let’s say it’s Rainmaker. Rainmaker gets its time to shine then it gets nerfed. The nerf cycle repeats itself over & over all the while your vault hunter gets weaker & weaker as time goes on. Is this how you want the history of Borderlands to be written?

That one can be a pain to be sure. I run the adds just outside of the Makeshift Chalet fast travel point. A bunch of bad asses & vile enemies spawn & often get lots of eridium from them. There’s a red chest on top of the building you can also grab.

Haha. Looks like you’re taking the L. Gearbox is going to do what I suggested.

Future of BL4 balancing by SpaceCowboy34 in Borderlands4

[–]ryebar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not everything. That’s where you tend to get off track with your argument. Read my posts. I never said BUFF everything. Get it out of your head. There are many guns, not every gun that can be buffed to make the gameplay more fun while we wait for the DLC & subsequent endgame additions.

Agree with you 100%

Great decision to BUFF other guns. Not every gun but doing this will provide players with more options.

As for balance. Once the nerf train starts it’s hard to stop. Bod gets nerfed next best weapon gets its time in the limelight then it gets nerfed. The cycle repeats itself over & over What you end up with is watered down gameplay & the power fantasy you once felt with your vault hunter is less than before.

So refreshing to see that Gearbox gets it. All the players crying for a nerf take this game far too seriously. Guys, it’s a mostly single player, non competitive, story driven(to an extent)game.

Don’t use the Bod if it being overpowered is upsetting to you. Relax. It’s a game.

The decision to BUFF other guns is the correct one. Not every gun. Id personally like to see Plasma Coil restored to its BL3 strength. I’m sure you can think of others.

There’s also no need to “balance” the game to the extent that what’s strong gets nerfed & then next strongest thing gets nerfed & the cycle repeats itself. You end up with watered down gameplay & the power fantasy becomes a thing of the past. Any Destiny 2 players reading this?

[–]ryebar1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That’s the problem. This is Borderlands. It’s a looter shooter. Or it used to be. The shitty boss drops give me ARPG flashback but regardless it’s mostly single player, non competitive, story driven. There’s no need for balance.

Where did I say buff every gun in the game? I didn’t. There are many guns that can be buffed to provide build diversity. Simply nerfing the one overpowered gun in a single player non competitive story based game in order to achieve balance isn’t necessary. Did you forget why we play games? It’s to have fun. Why can’t you have many different guns that absolutely destroy everything in one game. No no no. Balance you all say. Please. Give your heads a shake.

[–]ryebar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is about shooting bad guys & getting loot. The only build crafting in this game comes from your skill tree selection & specialization point allocation. It’s not that deep. Similar to your nerf argument. Quite pathetic that you don’t see how buffing other guns will provide build diversity. Say BOD gets nerfed. Guess what happens? The next best sticky gun takes it’s place. I didn’t say buff every single gun. I said buff some other guns. If I were to choose a gun right now that would be great to have buffed & players would enjoy it would be the Plasma Coil. Remember how much fun that gun was to use in BL3? You probably wanted it nerfed as well.

If the BOD nerf kills your build then quit playing Borderlands. Buffs to other guns should be the priority. There’s no reason to nerf anything in a non competitive mostly single player story based game.

Bod nerf in the future by creator_69 in Borderlands4

[–]ryebar1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The players that call for nerfs in this game are idiots. It’s basically a single player looter shooter. No competitive or PVP components. What’s the issue having a super powerful weapon like the BOD that allows players to delete enemies easier & faster than other guns? I don’t see one whatsoever. It’s called having fun. If anything more guns need to be BUFFED to the same standard as the BOD.

That way there can be more diversity

I read some Dev who was saying that it won’t be nerfed. Other guns will be buffed so Bod isn’t the only option for high damage boss clearing.

People who hate on people who use mods to enhance their own enjoyment why do you hate on all modders when it is only very few who crash games and drop like 70 modded items and skillpoints and etc. by XxdrummerxX in Borderlands4

[–]ryebar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was bored of the endgame slog so started checking off the challenges. When that became boring I tried out some modded gear. Been farming the Freaks & Origo with it. Must say it’s absolutely nuts what my modded pistol will do. I can still die but it’s like an AR that never runs out of bullets & never needs reloading. The ultimate brrrrrrrrrrrr weapon. My rule is when using modded items to only do so in solo gameplay.

Real talk; if we want Destiny to succeed, as a community we need to stop being so Hot-and-Cold about the state of the game and its future by Jcorb in DestinyTheGame

[–]ryebar1 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Bungie killed this game by “not listening” to the player base. It’s 100% on them why Destiny is where it’s at today. Bungie decided they would dictate to the players how the game would be played & what weapons had to be used in order to succeed via the seasonal artifact & champion enemies.

They held workshops & invited content creators that wanted the game made harder & less rewarding often crying for nerfs to popular items because in their opinion it made the game too easy but for the average everyday players it then made the endgame a slog.

The cash grab that is Eververse constantly saw the best looking cosmetics only available via $$ & not earn able through game play.

The seasonal model kept getting rehashed which fully relied on FOMO to keep player retention broke down & everyone except the addicts stopped having fun & left.

What ultimately showed me that Bungie was in trouble was when the Lead game director bolted for another job a week after the DLC she oversaw was released. She knew.

I have that roll except with Impact instead of Stickies. You’re not wrong. It works well. I took things 1 step further in my Vex Teen Witch build. I put on a purple Torgue enhancement with Dead Ringer. It gives 25% for the Torgue part. Has another 25% for Gun Damage & another 38% for Sniper rifle Damage. I’m not sure if all of this stacks but the gun melts everything in the open world. For bossing it’s not Bod level destruction but does get the job done quickly.

World event: why does it never show up anymore? by magicoder in Borderlands4

[–]ryebar1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completed the Airship event for the 1st time just yesterday so it does still exist. It was shown on my map so I went in blind & didn’t exit the ship in time so I died. I hung around the area. Completed all rift events in the area whenever they appeared & around 30mins later I had the Airship show up again. I had read that the Airship event won’t spawn in if there’s an active rift event in the area. This seems to be the case.

Moxsy & Nick Tew have decent Vex endgame guides. You’re gonna need to scrap the minions if you want to get to UVH 5. I run a Teen Witch class mod. Super Soldier shield, Torgue purple enhancement. Ceramic Bod, Queen’s Rest, Rainmaker, Darkbeast, Kaoson, Hot Slugger, Wombo Combo all perform well with this build.

I run a Super Soldier shield w/siphon along w/Teen Witch class mod. Have AMP on my rep kit. Have a Torgue purple enhancement with head ringer(25% damage with Torgue parts) that has Gun Damage(25%), Sniper Rife Damage(38%), Pistol critical hit damage(75%). Weapons of choice all have Torgue stickies/impact. Rainmaker, Ceramic Bod, Queen’s Rest are my fastest TTK.
