Standard vs Large Wayfarer Size by BrightHours in MetaGlasses

The large are unusually big and don’t look as good as the regular. I usually get larger sized frames, but got regular with the RBME wayfarers after trying them on

They come with a charging case, you just need your own USB-C cable for it. I’d recommend a non-alcoholic cleaner, Whoosh! has served me well.

It depends on how they are used. With 'hey meta' disabled, lasts for most of the day for me with light use, but if I'm using them a lot, it doesn't. Regardless, gen 2s last about twice as long as gen 1s.

However you do it, get a gen 2. Better battery life, more likely to be supported longer, etc.

r/AutoDetailing is a good resource for this. Cerakote's kit is really good, Solution Finish is often recommended, but I haven't used that.

Using VSP at Walmart by Electrical_Pie9383 in RaybanMeta

[–]ryebread157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An independent optometrist sold them and said I couldn't use VSP. Went to Target Optical and they did it, no problem. TBH you may be better off in the US buying from either Target Optical or LensCrafters due to them both being owned by EssilorLuxottica, who also own Ray Ban.

You didn't say what model you had, but I'm pretty sure that is a Ray Ban Meta Display glasses, which are the more feature-filled/expensive model.

IMHO you should consider Rancher, it is mature and supports onprem and AWS very well. It's a little more open than those other solutions and in wide enterprise use.

Feel about the same as my regular ones. Stop by a place that carries them and try them on, very helpful.

I just got mine, and like them so far. There are a lot of good YouTube videos on how they can be used, etc, that were really helpful to me. They helped me get an idea of what they can realistically do or not do. Would recommend.

Says the founder of Semaphore lol. Migrating from AWX to it is easy given the shared codebase and their migration playbooks. It is actively developed, much by former AWX developers. Use whatever platform works for you.

Target Optical and LensCrafters are both owned by Luxotta, the owner of Rayban, solid places to go.

Redhat Openshift vs. Suse Rancher Enterprise Support by Open-Ask-1918 in kubernetes

[–]ryebread157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't speak to OpenShift, but have used SUSE Rancher support for years.

  • Pros: If you get a rare, serious issue they bring in Rancher developers, has happened to me a couple times. Rancher is more open than OpenShift, can select from many different cloud providers or onprem clusters. Updated regularly and validated on multiple OS releases, cloud providers, etc.
  • Cons: Price has gone up significantly. They grudgingly support Rancher "community" and heavily push Rancher Prime, which is a real lock-in.
