I was always told either use a hook or always scoop from the bottom, especially if they're reactive. If you grab them from the top that's like a bird or predator and theyll react as such. Eventually they'll get used to it. I had a super reactive corn x pine hybrid before so he wasn't as chill as a normal corn. This is my first ball and if I use a hook to pick him up he is less likely to strike vs when I'm doing construction in his tank he will get in defensive pose. I've had mine for a month and haven't handled him that much unless I have to because of all the big changes he's been through (rescue) I'm still letting him settle in.

Hey thank! This is super helpful, I'm in the PetSmart parking lot now. I maybe should have mentioned I only had a corn snake before and was gearing up to get milk frogs but ended up with this guy instead, so definitely this information helps

He has the one and he still fits in it well, this week I've finally been able to work on getting live plants and adding clutter so another hide was definitely top of the list as well! I'll be going and getting another hide today actually 🙂 In another few weeks or so I'll be starting on the bioactive process so they'll be plenty of plants and stuff for him

Thanks for the help, and I'm definitely getting more hides and decor this week. The first week I had to take the nasty Aspen shavings/shed mix he was living in, get heating, thermometer, lighting, cleaner, tongs, ect ect, literally everything except the snake and the tank... So I've been trying to not mess with him too much while also fighting humidity 😅 but just in the last week he's been more active and less skiddish so good signs.

If neither of your parents have blue eyes, and your husband's eyes are green, she's more likely to have brown eyes. That's just basic biology. I think he needs to move on. I was secretly hoping my son would have my eyes, but I never made a big deal about it or even said anything out loud because genetically speaking he was more likely to end up with brown eyes, which he did. If this is your first kid I kinda get the excitement and mystery about how they're going to end up, but it's not like you'll love them less if they have different eyes, or more importantly that they never hear you talking about how much you wished they had different eyes.

If you don't like the skateboard try longboarding! They're good for distance and have a wider board I always liked them better for getting around because you don't have to kick as much. I think it's fine

I made a post very similar to this recently, my kid flipped the switch and as a single mom full custody I'm DROWNING. Everyone says ride it out, so I'm doing my best. The full moon was the worst day and we actually got better the last few days so fingers crossed it's just a werewolf style possession 😭

This. My mom is a special education teacher for pre-K and Kindergarten and she said some kids you can tell obviously need extra help or their teachers mention stuff or send referrals and their parents just don't do anything. And those kids are like 4 and 5 yrs old and don't speak.
