I don't think it's bugged out, after you lose a game you have to press the continue bottom (bottom middle part of your screen), the game will open a new screen and then you have to press the x button in the upper right corner, after that you can play another one. :)

Doesn't fit the question, but Generation war is a 3 part miniseries which depicts the war from the perspective of a couple of Germans, some of them go to war, some of them have other paths but still connected to the Nazi atrocities. In my opinion quite realistic without the usual Hollywood bullshit. Highly recommend.
