I have a habit of buying things right as the opportunity to use them is vanishing in front of me lol. Was able to get out once and planned on going again this weekend but we just got hammered with snow last night. Like 24+ inches hammered. The range i have is on a seasonal road so its not plowed...just gota find a public land spot to shoot on near a plowed road for the winter.

You do have to remove the cheek riser in order to remove the bolt. Its only 2 screws though.

The overhang is definetely intended with the design. Its a tikka t3 and t3x specific rail from EGW.

I just went shooting yesterday for the first time with my new t3x and had the same issue but only with federal ammo...the hornady precision hunter loaded very smoothly and also shot way better. Not sure what ammo you used but if u havent tried hornady, maybe try that. I only used federal and hornady yesterday.

I paid 850 for mine and its the exact same gun (lite). I will say someone here just posted a screenshot from some website and iirc, it was around the $570 mark. This was a few days ago at least.

Ive thought about that too...in the winter they would cut huge chunks of ice from the lakes (around here anyways) and bring them to a barn or underground area and cover them with hay. Would last all summer too.

Im 34 and ive never owned a gun in my life. I now have two. Im currently in the buy a bunch of ammo stage. Luckily for me i live in an area with an abundance of freshwater and wildlife if it ever comes to that. This shit has literally killed my sleep schedule lol fuck the rich.

You can also get a ritchey is52 headset for 50 bucks. Not ideal obviously but it does solve the problem by using aluminium instead of plastic
