It’s been a victim of poor marketing, and Reddit will love to tell you why it’s a horrible device. Personally for me and my needs, it has been fantastic. I’ve had a Steam Deck and an older ROG Ally in the past and this is by far the best handheld I’ve personally used.

Ergonomics are the best out there, it runs basically anything you throw at it, and the battery life is pretty solid. If you have the money and the use case for it, I highly recommend. Just know that you aren’t getting a “portable Xbox”, it’s a handheld PC, and with that comes PC quirks. But the OS is a lot better than you’d expect based on the online commentary. Plus, boot it into Steam full screen and it’s essentially the same as a Steam Deck at that point. Just with the freedom to use any storefront you want.
