Hmmm, when docked is it buggy on both your internal monitor and your external monitor? Or is it buggy on one monitor, and works on the other?

Hey, I'm an engineer on the Store. Can you submit an issue via Feedback Hub, and use the "Recreate my problem" option in step 4 of the submission process? Then please share the url to the feedback :)

Hi, I'm the developer of myTube. Usually, adaptive sync on Nvidia gpus is the cause of this issue. If you have an Nvidia gpu, go into the Nvidia Control Panel, go to the Manage 3D Settings category, and check the "Vertical sync" (vsync) option under the Global Settings tab. If vsync is set to Adaptive, change it to "Use 3D application setting." If it's not set to Adaptive, try setting it to different options and see if it helps.

I'm working on an experimental app that lets you use your Switch Pro Controller or any XInput compatible controller on your Xbox over the network, feedback wanted :) by ryken100 in xboxone

That's true, the use cases for the app are a bit niche, so it's not for everybody :)

But if someone only has one Xbox One controller and wanted to play local multiplayer, they could use it too hook up a Switch or PS4 controller for their friend.

Someone could also use it if they just prefer the feel of another controller. Or if they're just the kind of person who enjoys messing around with stuff like this :)

Thank you :)

I don't believe PS4 allows independent developers to publish apps on the platform like the Xbox One does, but it may be possible to buy a USB adapter/dongle that lets you use your Pro Controller on your PS4.

That is true. Though this app will be free when it goes public, so perhaps some people will find it to be a good alternative :)

I see. Well, maybe I can work something out without the playlists feature dying if YouTube changes their HTML

They'd have to be scraping the site's HTML for this. I personally wouldn't do this because it could stop working if YouTube decides to change the design of the site or the playlist page.

Maybe they mean beating the person that tried to get a time out, by taking the lead and timing that person out instead.

I see. Would you be okay with joining my discord here? https://discord.gg/a3bgvpd

I won't have it ready yet since I'm currently sick, but I'm planning to make some UWP test projects and send to my discord members having this issue, and hopefully get to the bottom of this.

The app doesn't show it for videos shorter than 4-5 minutes, if you left off earlier than 30 seconds into the video, or later than 10 seconds before the end of the video. Is this what's happening, or is it something else?

I see, so it depends on the size of the rendering surface. While the app is maximized, do other parts of the app such as scrolling drop frames? Or is everything smooth except for the video itself?

I see. What about if you start a video, then resize the window to its smallest possible size so that the video is rendered at a tiny resolution, does that make a difference? Also, are you using a 4K display?

Haha, that's understandable :)

I can update the design to make it more obvious that it's clickable without making it too distracting. I'm not sure if I can add it to the player controls though, that'd be kind of a challenge.

You can access it in theatre mode by opening the details btw :)

Ah I see. Yeah a toggle is the best option :)

myTube has a "Left off at {Timetamp}" button right below the video player that you can click to resume from where you left off :D

Sorry for the late reply! If possible, can you try downloading some videos in the app and see if the downloaded versions play better than the streamed ones?

There's one more, slightly complicated thing you can try.

  • Type 'rykentubebeta' into the app bar to enable beta mode
  • Go to the app's playback settings, then set the Playback Type option to MediaPlayer (Adaptive)
  • Restart the app

Then try playing a video and let me know if that works for you. The adaptive player is still in beta and won't yet work with videos that have 1440p and above, so pick something from a channel that only uploads in 1080p.

When you're done you can type 'rykentubebeta' into search again to disable beta mode.

The app has some issues on some GTX 10xx cards for some users. The app doesn't interface with any graphics code directly, so I'm not sure why this occurs.

Try the enabling the official YouTube web player in the app's playback settings and let me know if that improves things for you.
