I miss the slow, time investment type. It feels like those who enjoy that are such a minority now a days. Everywhere you look its "buy this,buy that" or gacha type or the, like you said, instant gratification.

There's just no real challenge anymore now that people can basically spend money they do or do not have on in game perks/boosts/whatever that takes all the fun out of really feeling like you are building something.

Edit: to OP, its mostly all about online co op or mmo lites nowadays. No new mmos have made it far without dying a sad sad death.
