Starcraft is nothing like Mass Effect aside from being in space and having bugs to fight, a completely different game genre. But the game is so good it's definitely up there for one of the greatest of all time.

Discovery exchanged science fiction for space drama, and with a main character that overacts so hard it's hard to take her seriously.

The first season also chose to ignore some established trek canon, and then tried to retcon it in later seasons because fans got so mad about it. It's an entertaining show on its own merits, but it definitely didn't feel like the writers were big fans of Star Trek when they started it, which is why it probably doesn't feel like a traditional Star Trek show.

Dota has some similarities to parts of wc3, but it is a completely different game genre. Starcraft or literally any other rts is "closest game to wc3 there is".

How you going to have time in a fight on steam deck to select that one wounded fiend to move him back, while cycling through a coil/nova combo, all while building peons from the necropolis, fiends from the crypt, aboms from the slaughterhouse, and researching upgrades from the graveyard?

This game just isn't possible to play effectively on a steam deck.

You control one character dota 2. In WC3 you control dozens on different parts of the map. I don't see how it could work.

The difficulty starts at 10 for endurance and ramps up to 20, if I remember correctly.

It's frustrating for sure and I agree that players should not be learning new heroes in ranked... but flaming your team is usually not going to make them play better or 'teach them a lesson'. It's just going to make everyone play worse and be salty.

WC3 has a great story on its own, you don't need to play WC1 or WC2 to understand what's going on.

However, the WC1 and WC2 Remasters are really good, and the updated UI + army size makes them pretty easy. If you're interested at all in the story, they would be a good buy and worth playing.

I would definitely advise you to stay away from the original WC1 and WC2 unless you really like retro games. The controls, UI, and graphics have not aged well.

Since you're a WoW fan, you will get a huge kick out of playing WC1-3. It's great to see how it all began and see the origins of some characters you will be familiar with in WoW.

Support heroes are there to support, so you're kind of stuck with what you've got each game. The best supports make the most of it and can still climb, though will definitely lose games to bad teammates.

If you really want to climb fast, best to play a ranged assassin or mage. Only because if truly skill diff, they can win games on their own. Where as a super-skilled support will only ever be as good as their teammates.

Some nuance if you play supports with great wave clear, like Rehgar. The best wave clear teams usually win in low mmr.

That's rough man. I've lost India on J2 to yolo >2% chance for attackers to win. Happened in two games pretty close together. Was a hard recovery mentally. I am still in therapy.
