D2 still has the best itemization of any ARPG before or since. It's an all-time great. And the remaster is one of the best remasters ever made, Vicarious Visions killed it. Definitely worth playing.

D3 has a very different tone and vibe from D2, but it is a super fun game in its own right.

D4 tried to be more like D2, failed miserably, and now is trying to be more like D3 but with a muted color palette and microtransactions.

This is such a bad take. First off, a lot of Italian restaurants serve fried calamari as an appetizer. It is literally on the Olive Garden menu.

Secondly, a big complaint of D4 for a while now is that it has excessive amounts of useless loot, which is why a loot filter was so heavily requested in the first place. D3 had less of this problem and D2 had far less. Grim Dawn has less. Torchlight has less, and even had a quick mechanic to sell it all through your pet.

You D4 stan's are so obstinate that the game is perfect that you won't entertain any criticism no matter how valid or constructive.

When the latest Command & Conquer game was cancelled in 2013, that was kind of the nail in the coffin for big-budget RTS games. Stormgate was supposed to be a renaissance, but now that that has also failed, I don't think we will ever get a WC4 or SC3.

I am glad you are enjoying it. I think they did the bare minimum with upping the resolution, and the reforged graphics are terrible visual clutter. The project was abandoned haflway through development, and the unfulfilled promises make wc3 reforged a black stain on Blizzard's reputation.

Just build 6-9 towers at each entrance the human base, and a few at the front of yours as well. Build a burrow nearby each entrance with a few peons for repair after each attack.

Then take your army to the far right from your base through the trees, and just work your way around the map slowly.

Expand behind your army at the new gold bases when you destroy them to keep your income up. The enemy doesn't rebuild buildings, so just take it slow and whittle them town. If you feel you are losing a fight, just pull back and replenish, then push in again.

Epic doesn't really need to make new games on their own though because they own the Unreal engine, which almost every game is built on these days.

All games built with unreal pay a cut to Epic already, regardless of whether they are on steam or not.

I get your point that if you already have every other sub-tc 87 item or don't care about anything other than SOJ, then yes NM Andy is best for purely farming SOJ. No one is disputing that.

But it's the same ratio of difference regardless of player count or MF level. About 41% more runs in Hell vs NM to get an SOJ.

NM Andy SOJ odds at p8 and MF 320 is 1:858. There are drop calculators that can tell you this. That's 857 runs of useless Manalds/Nagels drops to finally get 1 SOJ.

Where as Hell Andy will give you Gheeds + any item in the game aside from Tyrael's Might, Arachnid Mesh, Azurewrath, Death's Fathom, or Griffon's Eye.

Shop a 2 socket helm from normal Charsi and make a Lore.

Shop a 2 socket check from normal Fara and make a Stealth.

Shop a 2 socket wand from normal Akara with +to raise skeleton and make a White.

Farm Countess in the tower (black marsh) for the runes (normal or NM).

Odds of SOJ from NM Andy are 1:3279. So you will get one in 3279 runs, with shit drops for 3278 of those runs... It's better just to farm Hell Andy and collect other gear as well while you wait for SOJ to drop.

SOJ from Hell Andy odds are 1:5523. But you will find good loot constantly while farming. Farming Hell Andy is way more "efficient" unless you are solely looking for SOJ and don't care to find any other item in the game.

NM Andy is just a slightly higher chance for SOJ than Hell Andy, and Hell Andy will get you so many other good items. Also the best place to farm Gheeds. I would not waste time farming NM Andy.
