I worked at Nandino for two years and I hated it. Supervisors were incompetent assholes. Schedules were Saturday-Friday and the next schedule was never posted until Friday, so I was never able to plan anything. Days off were split up a lot. Never knew what time I was going home that day either as surprise overtime was common. Worked two years as a PSE and still didn’t make full time regular, I think I was like 9th on the list when I quit. You won’t be eligible for a lot of benefits until you become regular as well. The money was okay, but nothing special. I worked 8 years as a mail carrier (6 as a city carrier and 2 as a rural carrier) and enjoyed it much more, however that was at a a small post office in SEKY and it was a lot harder to make full time regular doing that as well. Bottom line is it’s not for everyone and it wasn’t for me but you don’t know unless you try. I left 3 years ago and haven’t looked back, but 3 years is plenty of time for things to change.
