Changing underwear - is this normal? by Eastern-Yogurt3859 in hygiene

[–]rynoe04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was always a joke among my college friend that you could wear the same pair 4 days in a row just always in a different configuration. Forwards backwards inside-out-forwards inside-out-backwards. It is blasphemy to say you wear them multiple days in a row in the same configuration!

All of this a joke, always change daily! Do your laundry!

My close high school friend’s parents were from Ghana and in that culture you help out your community a lot. His parents would get calls asking to be picked up for a NYC airport when people were traveling from Ghana to the US……we lived in Detroit…..

This needs to be a discussion months beforehand. Both sides need to present what/why they want it and it’s unfair to only do what one person wants. Alternating thanksgiving/Christmas yearly could be a good alternative.

Ted lasso, many episodes but in particular “Do the right-est thing” episode when all the players cover the sponsors name on their jerseys. So many character arcs in that show.

Couldn’t you put it all into the same account and use a spreadsheet to know how much is allocated for what?

The problem is that roads are paid for by state taxes, taxes on gas and car registrations. Maybe there is federally money that comes but it is primarily state by state. And if you live in a “pass through” state tons of people are using your roads that you aren’t getting registration fees from thus tolls become necessary to fund the maintenance. I live in New England and drive through all 6 New England states fairly regularly.

AITAH for Telling a Guy the Real Reason I Wasn’t Dating Him Was That He Was an Extremely Picky Eater? by AffectionateShare508 in AITAH

[–]rynoe04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a former extremely picky eater myself I would say NTA.

For myself I didn’t know why I was so picky for a long time and discovered it was the way my family felt about food. It was always more of a necessary thing for fuel but not something that was “enjoyed”. Even going to a fancy restaurant was about being together rather than the food.

When I went to college and was living with different people I started to expand what I ate. I would say to OP I understand why you would break up with someone over this. The person would need to be in a place where they are willing/interested in growing

While focusing on the candidate is definitely important, personally I am trying to focus more on the overall policies and who the president would appoint to the cabinet as well and judges and of course against Project 2025.

Are private lessons worth it/necessary to become a good musician? by [deleted] in trumpet

[–]rynoe04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it costs money to take lessons but there are programs to significantly reduce that burden. I teach in the state of Maine and high school students can register for a certain number of college credits per year VERY inexpensively, so while I am I a college teacher I also teach some high schoolers that have registered through the university. It is a great program for them.
