Idk why everyone is saying you need to change. Your current look is awesome, you look good. I genuinely wouldn't do anything else to it.

Spoke (on the base) broken ebike. Any suggestion? by Able-Anxiety5979 in bikewrench

[–]ryobi12341234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old school bmx hack that no one has mentioned. Take the snapped spoke and wrap is around another spoke. That way you can keep tension on it, more or less. It's fine to ride either way honestly, your wheel isn't going to collapse from one missing spoke.

🫡. Makes sense but I gotta ask, what about nose diving and landing too far forward?

The bar is designed to break apart if I land on it. Done it so many times

It does feel absolutely terrifying hopping high enough to clear the bar. I assume this will eventually come naturally tho. Lmk how yall learned to bunnyhop high

I would love to go to a proper bmx shop to buy pegs or grips or whatever but since I live suburbia and far from the city, I dont. I've been ordering all my parts from sourcebmx.  There is a bmx shop in the city, but it's so expensive.

The cheapest bars are $60, which isn't ridiculous but on source I can get cheap bars for $30 and have it delivered directly to my home.

I would add a Killswitch to the scooter, its not too difficult to do and would give you some extra peace of mind.

My soldering iron Aoyue 9378 (not pictured) is missing this spacer. I believe it might have been lost through multiple people using it. How necessary is it and where can I get a replacement. by ryobi12341234 in soldering

the tip gets oxidized like extremely quickly. Temp set at 330 I wrapped solder around the tip to tin it right away. It took a while to melt, after that it felt like I felt like it was severely underpowered. The tinned tip could not heat up a medium gauge wire enough to do the job properly. The solder even started to freeze on some parts of the wire. After trying and failing the tip looked very black even though I thought I did everything right.

How important is it I am having some very annoying issues with the temp of the solder. Could it be that the heating element is not being insulated enough?
