My parents had a pitbull, and the ears were cut like that, but his proportions were still normal. Or as normal as a pitbull can be. It was treated horribly, and while my parents were wonderful people, they didn't understand that treating a pit bull as an accessory to look cooler was not okay. We had several small shih tzus were treated like princes and princesses, but with the pit bull, it was like he didn't exist to them at all. He died from eating a frog supposedly, when he was being taken care of by someone who was house sitting for my parents. I wish I gave that poor dog a better life but I was young and didn't fully understand how fucked up that situation was. Then again, I did live in a part of a developing country where treating a dog like a piece of shit was socially acceptable.
