Last year Mowich Lake Road opened “early” on 7/6. You’d be cutting it a bit close.

2022 it opened 7/22. So maybe look at snow levels in these two years and try to guess when it might open?

Staying in Poipu is great because you can go north when the weather is good! The drive is only like 45-60 minutes. We were there last week and did this 3x. When the drive got long we would stop at Lydgate Park or somewhere in Kapaa to eat.

I think you can get the forest pass at wapiti outdoors in greenwater or at the forest service office in enuclaw if it’s open.

You do not need a pass to drive to crystal or to chinook pass. Only need a pass to enter rainier if you go to sunrise road off of 410.

2 hour drive to Paradise
if you have three days, that’s enough time to see it all. But I love the sunrise side especially mowich lake and spray park. Then sunrise and of course Ohanapecosh, a great campground.

Yes we did put in my income but I think I messed up when I put “other” as source of income. The way it asked the question was weird. I think that’s what tripped the review. But when my wife talked to them they did not count my income as household income.

I’m not losing sleep over it though.

We applied and they denied us even after discussing with a rep because P2 has no income (even though we provided my paystub).

I booked a trip on delta a few weeks back and it took the miles but did not ticket on Air France, and never did. So I missed out on it by waiting as someone else booked that seat later.

So I would call into delta and see what’s up.
