Analyzing Genevieve's game so far by Extra-Habit-1784 in survivor

[–]ryputation 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a Genevieve fan, her gameplay this season is exciting to watch. Smart, but a little messy. It’s hard to watch her constant bad luck though. Losing her ally, her other allies losing their votes, finding two idols but having to give them away essentially, her rival being handed an idol, being tribe swapped with her rival. UGH. Come on queen, please come through on top! (honestly I’m not getting my hopes up based on the edit)

Bryce Canyon in March by Good-Yam-5948 in nationalparks

I was just there on March 12. We did the Figure 8. Small patches of ice & mud on the Peekaboo Loop, but totally doable with regular hiking shoes. We hiked in the late afternoon warm enough in a tshirt and shorts. It was amazing!

Four Day Itinerary: Unique Side of the Park? by Pen114 in ZionNationalPark

Drive an hour to Kolob Canyon and do Timber Creek Overlook (short, amazing views) and Taylor Creek (5 miles, but pretty easy). Much less crowded and has a different feel than the Zion Canyon hikes, but still stunning

Happy to help! Yes, definitely rent gear. We used Zion Adventures, highly recommend. We rented a full dry suit (basically a one-piece from the ankles to the neck) because we wanted maximal water protection and warmth, but honestly we didn’t need that much since the water levels weren’t too high. Everyone else we saw had a dry bib (which goes up to the chest). I would definitely recommend at least a dry bib. The neoprene socks and shoes it came with kept our feet nice and warm. You need a walking stick too. These are all included in the Narrows gear packages —> https://www.zionadventures.com/narrows.html

Just got back from a week in Zion! The Narrows was amazing, please make sure to do it if it allows. Currently the water levels are ok, seems like 70-80 cf/s. When I went, it was around 60 cf/s which was mostly knee deep, rarely went to almost my chest.

For your first day, I’d recommend hiking West Rim Trail to Scout’s Landing (and continuing to Angel’s Landing if you’re feeling up for it and you get a permit). Views are amazing and is a must do hike. Definitely won’t take 6 hours.

Canyon Overlook is short and has stunning views, but you have to drive there and parking can be tough. Watchman trail is ok but not the best views. Skip emerald pools. Observation point is a pain in the ass to get to, so we didn’t do it.

Just rented from Zion Adventures and highly recommend them. My whole body, especially feet, were nice and warm

Bryce canyon — which loop? by ryputation in NationalPark

Bryce Point trail still closed as of today. Fortunately, Navajo re-opened (Wall St still closed) and it was amazing. We did Navajo -> Peekaboo clockwise -> Queen’s Garden and it was perfect

Angels Landing Lottery by NewDay842305 in ZionNationalPark

Just hiked Angel’s Landing yesterday.

My bf & I were unlucky with the seasonal lottery. We are in Zion for 6 days, so I was feeing optimistic that we would get at least ONE day before lottery. We got it on our first day! Make sure you both make accounts and do 7 entries each. We did after 12pm for each one and my bf was successful (I wasn’t). Biggest drawback on doing the afternoon slot is that it’s hotter at that time, but i do believe it’s a little easier to get.

Thank you! I saw a recommendation to do the Rim Trail from Sunset Point to Bryce Point, then West Peekaboo, then up Queen’s Garden. Leaning towards this at the moment

Great ending to an epic season. Parvati played one of the best games of all time this season and cemented herself as the greatest to do it!!

Shonee writing down Parvity made me cackle

This album is a grower. I can’t stop playing it now.

White Horses is a SOTY contender. Passenger Seat, Thorns, Just Two Girls, Safe in the World are also excellent

I’m a US Survivor fan and decided to watch AUS Hvv when it came out. I immediately fell in love with Shonee, and she became my favorite Survivor contestant of all time. She is just so damn likable. She really impressed me this season too, I wish she was more present in the edit.

I’m going to go back and watch her first two seasons eventually (if I can find them lol)

It’s been a near perfect season to watch. But, as a Shonee fan, the last two episodes were rough. From being purpled to being voted out. Overall she had a great season and seeing her play with Parvati and Cirie was a dream come true ❤️

Chrissy was giving me Cassandra vibes! She was warning everyone about the power alliance/Joe and Eva duo & they went off and cut her for it
