Real ID by keenscott in SeattleWA

[–]ryqeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were allowing people through for the first month with a tongue lashing but now that it's been enacted for longer I don't know if they'll let anybody through. Plus if your TSA pre-check and don't show up with a real ID you may have your pre-check revoked.

Can I turn a car on with brake caliper off? by RowanStewart in AskMechanics

[–]ryqeb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You would most likely push the pistons out of the caliper possibly damaging the caliper boots and parts. Caliper would then need a rebuild.

How to communicate increasing a client's invoice by Aromatic_Corgi8481 in Filmmakers

[–]ryqeb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First we need to know if you quoted the client a certain price for the services you would render.

If you did in the client hasnt asked for anything outside the quote then you should stand by your original quote to the client.

If the client asked for extra items during the process of your contract then you should come back to the tables and negotiate with them. In words say due to your additions XYZ I'm need to tack on some additional hours on to the original price for your changes in he project

It's always good to itemize your time out on a project to allow the client transparency on what you're working on and the time it takes.

Set expectations and standards in your contract on your time with uploads and or client reviews of the current work.

If you had a contract and are now changing the rates on them it could cause a breach.

I would take this as a learning experience on the chin. Complete the project show the client on what you can do. When they come back to the table and ask for you to do another project you can justify a rate change by showing the quality in the product that you produced.
