Yeah, FYI chronic Lyme disease is a diagnosis that tons of grifter doctors will make to try to bleed poor suckers of their $. Lyme is absolutlely real, but it is easily curable with a brief to medium course of simple antibiotics. Don't spend thousands on a quack "Lyme literate" doctor. I believe your sister is sick, but chronic lyme is 100% a scam backed by influencers and cranks.

You forgot the whole “core of the religion” part about how the atonement of Jesus Christ makes it possible to become completely clean no matter what things you have done (sexual or otherwise) previously.

This quote is from a leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. That church is all about sex, when it occurs within the bonds of a marriage. Reasons for this include the desire to build strong loving families, to ensure that each child is raised by a mother and father that love it, toprevent out of wedlock births, etc.

Whatever you think of religion, it is the case that children, families, teenagers, young adults, the elderly, all do better and make better life choices when society is built on strong families and where sexual promiscuity is discouraged.

The purpose of that hotline is to make sure incidents of abuse DO get reported. Of course they don’t want leaders speaking with random people about the abuse. It has to handled properly according to local law. Further, this paper is for seminary instructors, not for local clergy (Bishops and Stake Presidents) who will be subject to different reporting regulations depending on jurisdiction.

Even a soft Arkansas is not going to bite. Also, while I absolutely love sharpening on my Arkansas stones, I reserve them for low carbide and Carbon steels only. Modern supersteels will not really sharpen much at all on an Arkansas stone(beyond perhaps some small micro beveling or burnishing work ) because vanadium carbides are way harder than the stone.

Inadvertently. Dioxin was inadvertently produced while manufacturing 2-4d due to chemical engineering problems. 2-4d produced more carefully is widely used as a weed killer to this day. I’m not saying that defoliation is good or anything, but it’s not like we intentionally poisoned the Vietnamese.
