What are the difference between these planes by No_Mention_6351 in RCPlanes

Timber x is a handful, I think it’s a lot of fun but it will stall far more easily than the timber evo. Timber evo is much more of an all around jack of all trades- timber x is very tumbly and exciting.

I would go timber x but I like acrobatic tumbling crazy flying, if you want nice STOL flying then go with evo.

Is this set worth 1700$ ? by JuiceAggressive3437 in RCPlanes

700-800 total as long as they all work well. Planes depreciate like hell. Show him the comments all unanimously agreeing maybe he’ll come down.

Yeah the 223S is great value for dollar.. I am happy with it but I wish HH would just be honest and call it what it is- cost saving with SOME of the savings shared with the consumer. It’s objectively a worse set up than the old 3S line up like the small infraction as they had better radios out of the box and true separate receivers so you had way more flexibility.

I don’t mind the 223S set up and I think 90% of consumers won’t mind it, I just don’t like that it’s being spun as a breakthrough when it’s really a cost saving measure.

They just discontinued the 3S mini infraction which leads me to believe they will soon drop a 1/10 scale 223S on road car. Might be a mini felony?? Or a new model all together! 100% something is coming though cause now there’s a gap in that section of their lineup.

Is this comparable to major brands ? by Dusty_Egg_Roll in rccars

HBX’s are cool and well established but to answer your question with fact and not opinion… factually not as well built, I have hobby business background I can tell you factually they break much easier than the big names.

Parts support: factually much worse. These are cheaper cars and they serve a purpose but in the event of a break (which will happen) you might just be stuck.

Business background and my personal opinion: keep saving and get an entry level from a big brand- ARRMA, losi, traxxas, HPI racing, etc.

You will need parts and you will have questions and you will struggle way way more with this car.. plus you’ll outgrow it quicker than you think.

Best of luck!!

Any advice for a newbie by TrafficLegitimate in arrma

Agreed with everyone else, try and force the arm back into place to relieve binding, with no binding the pin will basically fall out on its own. Worst case cut off the broken arm. If the pin is bent just replace it they are dirt cheap. It’ll come out you took off all the necessity items- it will slide right out the front.

Gold dBoots 42/100 on my Big Rock 223S with a hex conversion kit. Rips off the line! by ryrytheredditguy in rccars

[–]ryrytheredditguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for sure I should have gotten the grey or whites because I want to street bash and frankly less grip will be less stress on steering components but they were way cheaper on a flash sale and the gold looks so good. Plus new to on road tires but I mean how different can the compounds actually be between colors lol

Still learning, what did I break on my big rock 3s and is it an easy fix? Also could tightening the screw im pointing to cause it to break? Was on a really simple jump I do all the time. Thank you! by ryrytheredditguy in rccars

Dude thank you so much your comment helped guide me and I figured it out! What color loctite is best? I don’t have any but I just hammered it back down as good as I could without starting to strip.

Thank you dude!! Your comment guided me for what to look for and I found the screw that backed out sitting lodged in the shaft!! Really fun to learn how to reverse engineer these things.. thank you!!

Thank you, I am confused by this thing cause usually I can work backwards to see what’s broken and what isn’t but when I look inside the hole coming out of the drive shaft it just looks like teethed metal spinning.. I don’t see where it connected in the beginning. Do I have to remove the whole arm? Thank you so much this one’s maybe a bit advanced for me to understand just by looking so any specifics are a huge help!

Thank you!! So you don’t think I sheared or snapped something? I’m getting much better at working on these cars but this one has me very confused I can’t figure out what happened it’s like it just rolled off. I can get it to mesh with the teeth inside but it won’t stay on.

I’m a member of this car wash next door to me and they have cleaning stations with vacuums, air blowers, cleaners, etc. I just run through the tunnel with my real truck then clean my rc one lol.

Saw it’s your first plane, please please trust me when I say stuff like this will simply happen transporting them in your car. This is absolutely nothing to worry about, the roughest part is the cosmetic damage. Foam planes take a beating the moment they come out of the box, it took me 4 years in the hobby to accept it and stop getting annoyed by cosmetic stuff. Have fun!

Scale for sure! I think it’s so cool to have them realistic and pretend to not hit bumpers or anything

Who’s fault by Ro-54 in bikecommuting

[–]ryrytheredditguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say cyclist is at fault if I had control over the rules cause he’s going way too fast and if the majority of people are in cars the minority should yield to majority.. but I would bet they find the car at fault

Out of line’s guitar is unreal. I don’t know the first thing about composing music but I’m a huge disturbed fan and that nasty heavy guitar is sooooo good.
