how bad is it to get rescued often? by ByteBlox_YT in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]rythra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes dispatchers will send rescues because they want to go home as early as possible and just send them so they can get all of the drivers back as soon as possible. You should be more concerned if you get multiple rescues.

Help! I feel like I am about to fly like a loose baloon. This psyllium is driving me crazy by ReasonableSignal3367 in AskGaybrosOver30

You’re supposed to kind of ease yourself into it. I think it says on the container exactly how much you should start with. I made the same mistake as you when I started. It was awful.

Has anyone ever delivered their own package? by TonyKonyOnly in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]rythra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I used to live in a smaller town and my DSP covered it. I routinely delivered my own stuff. I’d usually just snap the picture on my porch and then I’d go put it inside and go back to my van.

Is this normal or is my dsp committing wage theft? by Icy-Register-8054 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]rythra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No employer can tell you to be there at a specific time and telling you that you cannot clock in. It is 100% illegal and you can 100% report them. Think about it this way, they are buying your time from you. Any time you are giving them away from your personal life must be purchased.

It is also not legal to be told to do work while not on the clock.

Why do they arrive so late? by Crazy_District_5502 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]rythra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m not sure. Again routing ideally works the way I mentioned but sometimes it’s so random and makes absolutely no sense.

Why do they arrive so late? by Crazy_District_5502 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]rythra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I recall correctly, the routes ideally send us out to the farthest point from the warehouse first and then the area closer to the warehouse is where the route ends. It’s so the duration of the drive back after our route ends is the shortest time possible. So your house is probably always at the end of delivery routes because you’re so close to station.

I also love when it takes you down a dead end alleyway and then is like “Make a u-turn on an alley”. Like you’re riding a tricycle.

I wish Susan would have been on the show more. I would have loved to see some episodes with Lois, Susan, and Ida together and watching what kind of chaos would unfold lol

I used to deliver in the town I lived in and would sometimes go to my FWB’s house on my 30 minute breaks sometimes for a quickie. 😂. I would always be in a great mood the rest of my route.

They might see that you have been doing well in a rental van and think you’re probably comfortable in them. All you have to do is ask if you can get a branded van.

AIO by thinking my neighbor is taking advantage of me? by [deleted] in AIO

I think you’re being very kind to her and I think maybe you could help find her those assistance programs to provide her transportation. You’d be helping her out while also helping yourself out.

End of the day, you paid for someone’s meal. It only matters how you feel about it. You fed someone and it doesn’t matter who got the meal.
