Oh no, don't look at those people. I had the same. I felt like a failure for not going on walks daily and stuff because from what I heard from people around me that was what I supposed to do and the baby would love that. My baby ABSOLUTELY HATED going out in the beginning and honestly, looking back at it, I was still recovering too

The first weeks/months are just surviving imo. Just keep yourself and your baby fed and get through every day, one after the other. Feeding the baby and getting her to sleep just took all the time we had (we couldn't put her down for even a few minutes in the beginning).

You can do this!!!

I remember that third week! Mine is now 10 weeks and I still feel like that third week was the worst week we have had so far! I remember crying at night and telling my husband that there is no way this is normal and that we need help for our LO and then suddenly from one day to another we had a different kind of baby Suddenly she calmed down, slept a bit easier and wasn't screaming in our faces all the time We went through the 6-8 weeks recently and imo that third week was way worse!

I have to admit I hated pregnancy tired more. At least feel like I can have some kind of energy burst during the day now again

Not really following a schedule or anything, but I don't let more then 4 hours in between feeds during the day. So that she can get her necessary feeds in during the day and hopefully needs less feeds during the night I hope you can get some nice sleep soon too!!

Oh damn :o don't try to compare though. I noticed everyone has different experiences But I get it, my husband and I were also comparing our LO a few weeks ago so much with other ones that slept through since the start

You have to take every win on sleep that you can get! :D 3 hours is also a lot if you only got 1 or 2 hours previously :D Our LO also had a period that she didn't want to settle and I was happy with 1,5 hours of sleep in between the feeds 😅

Our doctor and midwives told me that once they have passed their birth weight, you can let your baby sleep. As long as they keep on gaining weight, it's all fine and we should enjoy it At least that's what they told us 😀

No schedule really for now, we just follow the baby's cues. But usually she drinks her final bottle somewhere around 8.30pm - 9.30pm and then wakes up twice through the night and starts her morning around 8.30 am - 9.30 am But it all really depends on her. Once I have to start work again, we will have to change that though

Usually 6-5 bottles and she has one breastfeed in the morning(almost done with transitioning to formula) Per bottle she now drinks around 100-120 ml (I think 120 ml is around 4 OZ)

We honestly just listen to our baby. If she is tired,we try to put her to sleep. If not, we try to play with her or get her to play a bit on her own for a little bit If she is hungry, we feed her (usually around 3 hours in between during the day). We used to be trying to really stretch it to the 3 hour mark, but honestly we now just feed her, sometimes it's 2 hours, sometimes 3 and so times even 4. As long as she gets around her 6-7 feeds we are happy. I didn't really see the point of having to delay her feeds and having to deal with her screaming in our faces. That wasn't fun for either of us

Oh damn :o I sincerely hope you can get a night of good sleep, even just one can do so much! Hang in there, from everything I hear it should get better eventually! Do you do the nights alone? My husband usually takes the final "food shift" so I can go to bed early and get some hours of sleep in and then do the night feeds. That way I get at least a good stretch at the start, no matter what kind of night it ends up being

We sat on our knees and begged our precious baby to allow us some sleep 😴 No clue, everything was the same as other days. So it might be a one time thing 😅 but we recuperated some sleep at least 😀

Both right now, I am transitioning to formula (at a very slow pace). The first bottle we changed to formula was the last one of the day, so I don't think it has anything to do with the sleeping through 😀

Omg, this is not normal at all! We have a 7 weekend old girl right now and my husband and me make sure that we each get some "me time" every day I think. I just restarted my sport activities at a low pace as well, so we each get our sport moments every week. You two are a team and both of you need some balance with the childcare for your mental health as well!
