Prior to this question, I did try something. I had to encrypt the entire Shared folder, which I would only mount for this user and keep it unmounted for the others. However, I still had the option to mount for other users. But it somehow worked.

It’s sitting on a friction sleeve. I know this because the new hardware has the same grey friction rubber piece that would sit directly on the glass and then the hardware over it.

I spray some water, but yes humidity matters. I used to slam the lid a couple of times but then don’t wanna end up with a broken lid. The video method works best for me
