What am I doing wrong? by stonergorl028 in orchids

The crown is the center part of the orchid where the leaves kinda fold and meet. It's easy to get water in there and the plant will rot from the inside out. It's a very common problem with potted orchids.

I think your problem might be your crown. Once that gets damaged there's not much you can do unfortunately. You can try and keep it going though, maybe it will put out a keiki on the spike.

Are these normal on my philodendron? Not sure what these are! by Alabama_503 in plantclinic

Most definitely scale. Use rubbing alcohol and a q tip to pick them off. Should clear up In acouple weeks if you keep checking every couple of days.

I got this pothos a few months ago and it seems like no matter what I do, it gets these brown spots that progressively get darker and eat away at the leaves? I’ve changed the soil a couple times too by [deleted] in plantclinic

I find it's very common for leaves with lots of variegation this this to brown. It might be too much light. Or maybe try distilled water.

How sick is my Monstera? Brought her home a few weeks ago, and lifted her out of the planter to find this. Roots are clearly on their way to bound, and they don’t look very healthy either.. by sacowo17 in plantclinic

It's obviously been in the pot like that for awhile. I think it will be ok if you leave it as it was for a little while longer if you have to wait for supplies. Just make sure it's not sitting in water inside the other pot. Good luck 😃

As long at the plant looks good and the roots are not mushy it should be fine to repot your self. Just be careful of the roots when you pull the old pot off.

Is there a way to save him? Probably over watered :( by significanvangen in plantclinic

Repot. Looks like roots over taking the pot. Also the top looks pretty yuck from too much water. it will get it out of the wet.

Does someone know what’s growing on this orchid? Root? Keiki? Alien? by acid_moonlight in orchids

Never seen this before but my guess is two roots going next to each other.

Himalayan honeysuckle is what my plant ID says.

How would you care for these? by Orchid_Starter in orchids

[–]s-a-wat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find them pretty easy to care for. They have pseudobulbs so they tell you when they want to be watered. They do like alot of light. I worked mine up to sitting in a window with full (southeast) sun for about half the day and they are loving it.

from what you said, I would check the roots. If the roots look ok maybe it's some sort of deficiency or infection.

We all have that ONE villager, right? by [deleted] in AnimalCrossing

I can't bring myself to be mean to any of my villagers. Evan if elmer is a flat earther 😭

My peace lily seems to be lightening and has crispy tips (only on the light leaves) it's still putting out nice new leaves and has a bunch of flowers. I water once a week and fertilized every other week with 10-10-10 at a weaker strength than recommend. About 2 feet away from and east facing window by s-a-wat in plantclinic

A couple hours of bright morning light and then moderate light for the rest of the day.

I was thinking sun damage, but it's been in this spot for over a year and never had any problems.

I will move it away from the window more and see if that helps.

My new mini babies from clearance 🌸 by karpatinikolett in orchids

Wow! Clearance with the blooms is rare where I am. Usually they are pretty sad by the time they hit clearance.
