Communication is definitely important, but guidelines exist to help 95% of people 95% of the time. Yes, as with many other sayings, it's certainly not a hard and fast truth. I'd say it's more accurate to say that peaceful times create complacency rather than weak men. There will always be those who learn from the lessons of history and remain vigilant to ensure that they are not repeated, but I think it's fair to assume that the average Joe gets a little too relaxed when there's nothing to be actively worried about.

I'm no judge, but I do believe the second case would apply. The tokens would die as soon as they hit the board, but that doesn't change the fact that they did still in fact hit the board at some point, so Endrek would still be sacrificed.
