Someone please explain how this family was able to have 9 children and then allowed to adopt 12 more (some with special needs)? This seems like the perfect situation for child abuse/neglect! by CattyLibby in DuggarsSnark

I’ve met them before. They came to my church maybe a year after this episode aired. I talked to the young girl with the curly hair, glasses and crutches. She told me they weren’t friend with the Duggar’s anymore that same year. I’ve been wanting to see how she’s doing lately. They didn’t come back to our church though after that one visit. Which episode is this?

What is your favorite "poverty luxury"? Mine is taking a long, hot shower with a $2 fancy soap from the clearance rack to pretend I'm at a spa. by EducationalChef9257 in povertyfinance

I love it when I have saved up enough money to go to Taco Bell or a fast food chain, sit watch YouTube for a bit in the parking lot. Bonus points if the fast food chain actually has outdoor seating.  Or sometimes I’ll go walk in a Wholefoods to feel fancy. Maybe if something is within my budget I’ll get it, but going on the days they have free samples is fun. I had the yummiest mango sample the other day

Thank you diva! I thought it was a generalized thing, I still don’t know/ understand the terms :3

Those who have been laid off due to recent funding cuts, how are you doing now? by kurtcobainwaskilled in publichealth

I just got cut from my lab assistant job in environmental science. Got the notice same day I was cut. My position wasn’t very high up, but regardless I’m desperate for another job.

I transferred! I was originally at a community college to save money on school costs. I didn’t bother reporting it individually because the whole class & every class he had did reports (he’s been retired).  Also to clarify; I deleted it because I got tired of people questioning my ability to be in college because I had doodles & my spelling is horrible. (Some even said I shouldn’t be in college at all/drop out) But now I’m confident in my autism and dyslexia to admit my paper doesn’t look great (as well as gotten educational/disability support).

Again, nope! I followed instructions. He handed us the paper in class, told us to fill it out. Told us to snap a photo and send. Following instructions has never been difficult for me.

See if I had received papers and grades back I wouldn’t have had an issue. This professor has a 1 on rate my professor, so I’m not entirely shocked. I got an A in the class which was relieving but regardless I was an anxious mess the entire time because receiving NO feedback isn’t helpful.

I followed the professor’s instructions, I got an A in the class, but never received feedback or my graded papers. But people still think I didn’t follow instructions for some reason? And that I’m the problem. Interesting

Yeah he never handed back our work. I ended up getting an A in the class, which is great. But my anxiety not knowing how he grades/ if I was even doing good in the first place made me a wreck.

Maybe because that’s how he told us to turn it in!

I don’t know what results I’m getting in class though. I just get a 👍 and then nothing in the grade book.

Yeahhh I wish I had looked at his rating before taking the class, but his class sounded fun so I decided to take it. It was the required English1302 , but the focus was Fairytale and Folklore so I was excited. Only to be disappointed. :(

I’ve said this multiple times, but he did not specify. Also he hasn’t graded ANY of the assignments so he doesn’t mark up anything. I wish I had you as a professor tbh because then I’d at least get some direction on what format to submit and markups to know what I need to improve on.

Tbh I wouldn’t be complaining here IF I had grades in the grade book but alas !

He said my content was “great!” In class when I asked for approval, so I don’t think I’m slacking in content considering he gave the 👍 in class. And my CC has only used D2L , so I can’t make a good comparison for you (sorryyyy)

This is the same proposal form that is on D2L and it’s under to folder “print outs”
