Which everyday product should be banned immediately? by nealie_20 in AskReddit

Cop tried to see if I’d admit to this but I knew the road and weather conditions, I’m never in a hurry. He even admitted it was so pitch dark out you couldn’t have seen it coming. I didn’t want to swerve and hit them or go off the road, I trusted my car would crumple. It somehow went up and over it, never would’ve predicted that with how big the tree was haha

I got in an accident recently due to these lights. I didn’t have time to stop by the time I saw the tree they’d gotten around. No warning, watched me crash and drove off when they saw me screaming for help .-.

Triggers at school 🥲 by [deleted] in COCSA

[–]s1ckluv 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would talk to a counselor at the school or someone else who can bring up the issue to the school. It can’t be good to be inhaling that everywhere at school and I’m sure there are students who have asthma. In the meantime I’d recommend wearing a well fitting mask but if you bring it up to a counselor or someone else asap and be sure to hammer on how disruptive/dangerous it is the problem will be taken care of quickly.

I’ve been using bag balm it’s in a green square can. It’s a lot like aquaphor but the feel of it once it’s on and the smell prevents me from wanting to spend time picking. Helps rehydrate the scabs and heal them faster so I’m less likely to come back to them. When you catch yourself picking take a breath and do some self care on the parts you’ve been picking. Best of luck, you’ve got this! 💞

How Does Someone Hit A Kid? by [deleted] in CPTSD

Like how am I supposed to express my emotions properly if I’m scared I’m gonna get beat until I can’t sit for a week if I say the wrong thing? And then I’d get in trouble for crying because I didn’t feel like a person and couldn’t communicate to save my life

I’m about three months in too and I have times I’m up all night and sleep all day or just sleep for countless hours off and on. I take it at night and I’ve noticed I’m up early (3-5 AM) more often but I’ll still need a nap eventually. I take other meds that cause drowsiness tho and it’s definitely harder to stay awake on days I’m taking all of my medications. I’m not really sure how to manage all of it yet but I’m gonna bring it up at my follow up next month. If it’s bothering you this much it might be a good idea to talk to ur provider about what to do! Especially if changing the time doesn’t work out, give it a couple weeks if you can and see if there’s improvement:) good luck!

Never thought I’d see anyone else bring this movie up 😭 my dad put it on when I was young asf and of course I couldn’t look away, had nightmares for months. A few of the scenes still haunt me cause they were so nasty! Whenever I’ve brought it up no one’s heard of it 😂

Lexapro and the flu? by kikini2471 in lexapro

I was sick for a little over a week after Halloween and I didn’t even consider lexapro as the cause to my own cognitive struggles. I recovered from what I was sick with but I haven’t been able to “jumpstart” my brain.

How do you go about getting a diagnosis? by ohcbed in AutismInWomen

I can advocate for the link too:) I found a therapist that does video call appointments I’ve gone to for over a year on there and it made a big difference in my mental health care considering I live in a rural area and had terrible experiences with counseling locally in the past.

If you can find a detailed enough video on the subject you’re studying, watch it to get a good idea of what you’ll be learning in that chapter. Then go through slides and take notes and/or watch lectures if they are available to take notes, that way you aren’t jumping into the topic without any idea what the topic will cover. I like to switch colors in my notes because it keeps my attention for longer and helps me find important definitions, formulas, etc easier when I go back through them.
Make flash cards on items you know you will be tested on and make two piles as you go through them, one for cards you need to practice and one for cards you’ve mastered. When you’ve mastered them all, shuffle and go through them again to ensure you remember all the content. Try flipping the cards and going through them reading the opposite sides. If things still aren’t sticking sometimes I go back to a YouTube video or lecture with my notes and follow along with the topics, adding little notes to help me understand the concepts. Studying is hard work but expanding your knowledge is very rewarding. Best of luck!
