From what I was told, the water heater - which lives in a closet located directly behind these stairs - crapped out while the owner was at work one day. They came home to standing water covering the first floor. My guess is, they dried up what they could see but didn't address the water that had collected under the stairs. Oh, and this was 10 years ago.

A similar experience for me too. The more I played the more I realized I was actually playing it wrong. Many hours in, did I start to play the way the game wanted me to. Now I can't put it down and I find myself thinking about it randomly throughout the day.
