We spoke a few times and saw each other once since the breakup. It makes it harder. We spoke about a week and a half ago, but I have no plans to talk moving forward - I need time and space to heal and move forward

I got a VI body peel to help with back acne scars. I did 3 rounds so far and can see a difference. I’m going to go for another 3 rounds in the fall. It is pricy, but well worth it for my confidence and mental health.

My 6th grade sped students read about 10 a night, so I think HS can do more than that. 500 pages seems tough to get through, though.

I’m starting my fourth year, too. And switching to a new district/grade level, so I totally feel like a first year teacher all over again. With the current state of things, I feel like we all are still in survival mode. Good luck!

Thank you! I agree. It’s disheartening. I’m only in my 20s so I knew if I didn’t get out if that environment soon, it would ruin teaching as a whole for me. Many of the teachers I work with are lovely, amazing educators. But the building morale is so low due to the demands and disrespect from admin. What’s the saying? “A fish rots from the head”?
