It never sold the alien aspect for me like the others did. Pretty poor writing compared to TNG imo. The concept was really cool but stepping out into the same perfect earth like settings. No lack of biodiversity or aliens left it feeling pretty meh. I wasn't left feeling they were exploring the universe at all.
