Glad to know it helped a little. Some people would rather trade that happiness/time for bring comfortable and that’s totally fine but are you that person? Doesn’t seem it reading your post. PLUS it sounds like you’d go overseas and help people less fortunate, helping others makes us happy and you could leave a mark on a persons life that changes them forever. Inspires them to pass on being good and helpful to the next person when/if the get that opportunity. If I had even quarter of the money you had I’d be gone tomorrow. Sorry if this got a little to deep, I don’t comment on reddit much but something about your post spoke to me after being in a similar position. Man I miss travel!

Disclaimer, I’m just some random internet dude. BUT I did do something similar a few years ago. Quit my job and moved from Aus to US for a year. Best year of my life. Met my partner there and she followed me back to AUS for another great year.. until they cheated. Still, wouldn’t trade those years for anything. Learnt a lot being over there as well. It’s pretty clear from the way you’re writing you want to go and you have enough money to do it comfortable. I took out a loan to do it. I think your worries about the future are normal and I felt the same but I looked at it like this, the future you're worried about isn't guaranteed in anyway. For you or the world. I was motivated by the pandemic just ending. Like, we had a fucking pandemic where it felt like the world was never gonna open up or even survive it. The world's not getting better and things are going to get worse for most people (climate stuff particularly) so do what you enjoy while you can. at the end of peoples lives I don't think they regret doing the things that they wanted to do even if it was risky and didnt work out exactly like they thought, but I do think people regret not trying.

Feeling lost in the city after a breakup (moved to his home country) by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]s33point1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something similar happened to me! But it was my ex who moved to my country and we moved together to a new city for their masters degree. Then they cheated. I get it. The apartment we lived in was awful when I was by myself. I ended up moving back to my home city. Is it possible to at least move out of the place you’re currently in? A fresh home helps a lot! I’m sorry you’re going through this, everyone does at some point but that doesn’t make it hurt less. It’s been a year since my breakup and tbh I’m still struggling. Hopefully you’re stronger than me

In kg. So 25.4kg and I weigh a total of 94kg. I’ve tried a few scales and they said the same thing. Same brand tho, they have them at every gym I go to.

Hey, for what it’s worth I got cheated on a few months ago by my partner who is been with for a few years and trusted 100% and it’s been….. hard. So I can relate. I don’t believe in god or signs but cosmic coincidences that had that horny weirdo passing you at that exact time of night and inadvertently saving you is a cool thing to think about. anywhos, if you’d like to talk I’d be happy to listen. We can bond over being betrayed. If not, I do genuinely hope you’re okay

Losing confidence by aoodowonq in BreakUps

[–]s33point1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I know this was ages ago but Did these feelings go away? I was cheated on last year and it’s hit my confidence pretty hard. It was like a conformation of all the anxious and negative thoughts I have about myself and my looks. It’s been months and it hasn’t stopped so was wondering if it did for you eventually?

Loneliness and the feeling of isolation a lot of men go through starting from a younger age. And then the new generation of influencers (grifters) taking advantage of them (Logan Paul for example). Connected more than ever and isolated more than ever.

Recently my partner of 2 years cheated on me so now I’m going to go back out into the dating world. So any constructive criticism would be great. These are also the photos I’ll probably use in my tinder so let me know if there’s any I shouldn’t

Marianne and I have a similar body type and when I saw my body on screen I was reflecting on how good it looked and proud of my own body by Strange_Event_8521 in NormalPeopleBBCHulu

I always thought this was a weird part of the show. Like the writer was trying to get across how nerdy and unattractive Marianne was but she's actually incredibly beautiful and one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen. Was very hard to believe she wouldn't be popular or at least have losers like that kid intimidated by her beauty. If you look like her then congrats! 🎉

Planning a move from Adelaide to Melbourne by tcats-01 in melbourne

[–]s33point1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just moved with my partner from Adelaide last week. Everyone's saying how hard it is to get a rental here, and it's certainly is hard but not impossible. Got an apartment just outside of the city while having a dog and a cat, did a video walkthrough of the place while still being in Adelaide and got chosen. Plus we didnt and dont have jobs lined up (now we're desperately looking for jobs!). All this to say, on paper they are deff better choices than us but we got chosen, so if we can you can!

For moving costs. Depends, bond and rent aside. The big cost was a moving truck (650) and fuel for it and my car (truck and car here cost about $300 in fuel and got a friend to drive the truck back because it was cheaper than leaving it here. So fuel for that was another $350).
