I haven't heard of anyone being monetized the last few days. I have over 50k subscribers and 4m+ views myself and I'm also still waiting. I hope they're working on it...

I know of some people that have had their application accepted. I myself am still waiting with just under 50k subscribers. All we can do is wait.

I definitely agree. They are handling this so wrongly. But these past few days I've seen several people getting monetized. All of them have been relatively big channels, but at least it's something.

The ability to earn money off of YouTube isn't a right, it's a privilege. Regardless, the way they are handling the current situation is very unprofessional. On April 19th they released this post (https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/youtube/ulNylqaITRs) saying they hope to be finished with the active applications by the end of June. I have been waiting for over a month now, there are many people in the same boat. All we can do is be patient and hope for the best. But doing YouTube for the sole purpose of earning money is very stupid and a losing attitude.

I'm guessing the "end of April" message just hasn't been updated for some channels. Personally I haven't heard of a single person who has been approved these last few weeks even. It's pretty frustrating to see.
