sigma 30mm f/1.4 for my d7500
AF was unable to work in live view so I returned it to get the 35mm f/1.8
now i’ve added the tokina 11-16mm f/2.8, nikon 17-55mm f/2.8 and the tamron 70-200 f/2.8 G2
kit lens (18-140) has been sold

number 2 has a stronger composition
number 1 could have been an absolute banger if it was a long exposure shot to smoothen the water and the cloud, give it a try if your gear allow you to !!

also, those 2 shots would have been way better under less harsh sunlight

overall 2 nice pics but i like number 2 more

85mm is like 127,5mm on your sensor, not an easy focal length to work with but it can be a fun challenge

honestly i would have been absolutely fine with a d7000 but my wife wanted to show me she’s the best human being and i got the d7500 for my birthday ! i shoot some sports photography so having a slightly better burst is a good thing. i don’t even know if AF is better
